Uru Ages Beyond Myst Complete Chronicles To D'ni

Hi Guys.
Hopefully someone out there can help me, I have collected the three Great Zero Markers but when I try to get the last marker I cannot seem to find it, it is supposed to be behind the library and using the co-ordinates on my Ki I am to try to get it without jumping into space.
I have got close to the edge but still can't see the marker, every time I go that little bit further I jump off the edge and have to start again.
Help me out PLEASE.

I have tried the options but I am still no closer to finishing it.
One of the forum members mentions "with third view (camera above you)" can you tell me how to get to that position as the only two positions I can find are altered by the F1 key.
I would be grateful if you could help me out with this.

I am really out of my depth here, as I don't know anything about the control scheme that the Uru games use. Someone on an Uru forum referred to the third camera view as the "pan and tilt" method, and also using the mouse wheel to alter the view. Is there somewhere in the Options in the game that describes the keyboard commands/navigation system more fully? You might find some info there. Otherwise, I'm afraid someone familiar with this game is going to have to assist you.

If I find any more info about this, I will let you know.

I recently re-played this game and did the following:
Note: several players have emailed me with the alternate way of getting this
marker. It is possible to get really close to the edge of the courtyard making
use of first person and third person view modes. Turn off the running mode. It
is a work of patience, but then again Myst players are nothing if not patient.
Get as close as you can to the proposed coordinates, and then inch along until
you get as close as you can to the edge without falling. You will probably have
to use the sidestep keys. Put the cursor over the marker, and click on it when
the KI indicator turns red.

This worked for me, and I hope that it will help you as well.

To all who have answered my queries regarding the problem I have been having.
Sanford, you mentioned that it is a work of patience and that Myst players are nothing if not patient, well, I am afraid to say that my patience is wearing very thin at the moment.
Marian. Winfrey. I know I should not be asking this of you, but is there a saved game that can take me past this problem?
One thing I did not mention when first asking you for help is that the game I have got is from Good Old Games (G.O.G.) I don't know if this makes any difference.

It's possible that someone here has a saved game for you; we will just have to put out an S.O.S. and hope that we can find one for you.

Dadguy is our expert on this game. If anyone can help it's him. You might want to send him a PM and he will get back to you. I've actually sent him saved games and he has worked around the part I kept crashing in the game. Don't give up kingpin.

I've just played the game up to that point, and just collected the last marker, but I cannot find the save file, and I'm not sure how to send it.

If anyone can tell me which file to look in to find it I'll gladly send it to you.

Not sure if this is where it is located in newer OS; Uru - Ages Beyond Myst\sav\ folder.

EDIT: Sorry I can't find any save file.

gymcandy1, if you are playing the 'Live' version, then there are no save games - they are kept on their server :(
But if it is a good old disk version, then they should be located in the game folder - it is 'SAV/*some weird numbers*/CURRENT' subfolder for me.

URU Complete Chronicles and there's no such file that I can find.


I've emailed saved games before, and I've looked through every file and I'm not finding a save file.

I googled and someone said the saved games on Vista are stored here:

C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\

Maybe it's somewhere similar for Windows 7?

From kingpin to all the forum members who have helped me with my problem with Uru CC.
gymcandy1 sent me an email and download to take me past the 4th GZM but before I tried it I thought I would have one more attempt at playing the game through that point and surprise surprise I picked up the last marker on my first attempt.
I feel as if I am a bit of a fraud by turning to the forum before I have exhausted all other options and hope that all of you will accept my humble apologies.
I am now starting The Path Of The Shell, and hopefully I will not have any problems, but if I do I know where I can turn to for assistance.

No need to feel like a fraud - congratulations for getting through that part on your own.

It will no doubt be useful in future to know where the saved games for this are kept on Windows 7/8, regardless.

Congrats kingpin! It is such a good feeling when you get passed a difficult part of a game. The Path of the Shell can be challenging but we are here if you need us. Good Luck and have fun!

Kingpin, we all have been there... sometimes it just helps seeing what others have done... sometimes venting helps :-) We are all here to help whenever we can.. no reason ever to feel like you came to soon... a game is supposed to be fun when you are stuck for what seems like forever that is not fun. I am glad to read you were able to proceed on your own. Yahoooooo. enjoy. One of the reasons I liked Uru live was when I got stuck or wanted company I could invite a player to come along and help. And believe me I did call. :-)

I have not had need to contact anyone on the forum as I managed to get through the Path Of The Shell without any help.
I THINK!!!
I have been following a walk through from FISICX.COM and I believe I have collected all the items of clothing and found all the objects I needed, finally ending up with a D'ni clock from a Relto page in the Crystal Ahnonay Dock.
I linked back to Relto and it seems that that is the end of the game.
Can anyone tell me if there is any more that I need to do to complete the full game.

You could look at this walkthrough and see if the ending is the same as the walkthrough that you followed.

It's impressive that you got through the game without outside assistance.

I found a pdf walkthrough for Myst Online and also a YouTube video walkthrough. Maybe someone else will know of some others.
