Ethan Carter: The most gorgeous piece of rubbish??

I actually dread playing this game because I know it is still possible to lose hours of game time but I thought I'd try to force my way through it (to make space on my hard drive if nothing else). Im at the house with the doors. What exactly is the idea behind it? Is it simply a guessing game as to which interior I'm supposed to pick for each door or are there clues somewhere? Did anyone actually complete this puzzle without cheating? If so can you give me a push in the right direction.

Yes I read that and still messed up. Even with messed up with a vid walkthrough. This game may well topple Culpa Innata as my pet hate:-)
