Memoria Question

I've been playing this game for a while and like it a lot, but I've hit a snag. I'm about two-thirds of the way through and, as Geron, I'm trying to distract the mob and save the girl in the tree. I've gone to all the spots and found, and spoken to, the messenger. I've been to the Bog and met the angry group leader. I now want to send the messenger to the Bog, where he will go to sleeep and I'll take his scroll. However, he won't talk to me now. When I attempt to speak to him I go off left and then can only go back to the overview. There may be a glitch, but most likely I missed something. Any suggestions.

These are from some old posts. See if one or two will work for you.

Be sure that you have:
- talk to Bryda to know about the messenger's function and about the magic scroll.
- talk to Sir Wrathling, Nuri and group leader.
- look at or jump to all the spots on that overhead map first and look around (to know all the places).
- then follow the messenger by looking (overhead map) where the moving light is located.
- once you located him - then use the spell.
- try different ways or position to talk to the messenger. It might be that your cursor is not active at the right spot.

Also if that doesn't work - try going back to a saved game and follow that messenger.

Also, if you read this GOG thread, apparently the game can be buggy in this part. Supposedly a patch has been released that fixes this difficulty.

I have returned. I followed all the above-noted suggestions to no avail. I've started chapter V three times and Geron still wanders off to the left at the same spot. Does anyone have any other ideas or have any knowledge of a patch? I can't find any information on that either. I must admit that this is a bit disappointing.

My saves are not labeled. If you want a group of them to check, I'll send you some.

I'm having the exact same problem~
the messenger is asleep on the rock and I can't talk to him? is this a game bug?
