Broken Sword 4 (Angel of Death) diffusing the bomb

I've been playing and enjoying Broken Sword 4 for a while now, with an interruption while I played Tesla Effect.

I'm now stuck however near the end, where George has to diffuse the bomb by using his PDA to hack the military computer. I have looked at the diagrams on several walkthrus with no luck, it keeps timing out or giving me some kind of error, I also can't seem to duplicate what I see in the diagrams. (apparently some pieces cause the beam to split in 2 directions, but that never happens no mater what piece I use. I hate to abandon the game after getting this far, but I've been going back at it for over a week

Other than some kind of 'cheat', I guess my only option would be if someone had a saved game right after that point. (I assume there are no alternate endings that would get affected).

Take a close look at those reflectors-mirrors.
There are 2 kinds of those mirrors: single sided and double sided.

The single sided has metal on one side and mirror on the other side.
The double sided mirror has mirror on both sides (no metal).

Take a look at this. The ones with the arrow are double sided - they can reflect on both sides.

Thanks, I saw that hint on several other walkthroughs, but it didn't help me at all. I just put in another frustrating 1/2 hour trying to make it work to no avail. (for one thing I can't really tell the difference between the 2 sided and one sided 'mirrors', they look identical to me.)

Nolalou, I couldn't tell the difference in them either. I lined them all up to see if I could spot the ones with mirrors, but, they all looked the same to me. I had to get a saved game here too! Great game though!

You can also try to see if it only reflects one beam or 2.

Ok, I put it aside for a while and went back to it, and finally managed to make it work! (whew).
Nearing the end now, I think.

Maybe this should be in the glitches section, but now I'm near the end of the game, and the game is stuck! I just entered the catacomb, spoke to Ann Marie about Nico & the Arc, and now I can't get George to move. No matter where I click on the screen, he just moves his feet in place, but doesn't go anywhere! I hate to get this far and not see the end! Anybody else have this problem?

I took a look at the GOG forum and saw an entire thread of folks with the same problem.

One poster said that using the down arrow and the control key at the same time (simultaneously) got him out of this glitch. You might want to give that a try.
