I don't think this puzzle can be bypassed.

I think I found a saved game for this, though; try looking here.

If I remember correctly, you place the whole folder with the file inside in the Still Life saved game folder.
- Find the saved game folder.
- Unzipped the saved game you got.
- Place it inside the saved game folder.
Good luck.

I don't remember the details of that puzzle, but I do remember that it was a stinker. devil

Double check inside the unzipped folder - to see if there is another folder inside.
If so - take that inner folder and place that one in your saved game folder.
Verify that there is a file inside that folder.

Try looking in C:\GOG Games and see if you can find a Still Life folder.

Still Life on a CD does run on Windows 7/8, but there are a couple of hoops you have to jump through in order to get it to run. It would be nice if you could continue with the GOG version.

When I have downloaded a couple of free games from GOG in the past while using the GOG downloader, that is where they ended up on my hard drive by default, so I was thinking it might possibly be the same for you. Until someone comes along who can help you locate Still Life, have you tried watching the video that Winfrey linked you to? It might help you solve the puzzle.

I redownloaded Tex Murphy from GOG.. I placed it in my C:Games folder... it looks like the saves end with .gam
can you do a search for gam on your computer... perhaps you will find the saves... although mine are right with the C:Games\ Tex Murphy folder

I'm not sure why the game isn't "seeing" the lock-picking saved game, assuming it is in the right folder. Maybe someone else can advise you.

Would this help - To prevent overwriting an old saved game, select new save game at the saved game feature (disk icon). Click on curve arrow icon to go back to screen.
