Hi....have taken the kraken-newt and give to Jarre but he does not give me ..crib notes for smugglers banter. Any suggestion what could be wrong..need notes,etc to continue...thanks Chuck

Be sure that you have talked several times to the guard at the ship.
He will ask questions about smuggler's banter.

Then talk to Jarre about smuggler's banter.
In exchange, Jarre wants to know to know where Harm's transfer site of the smuggling operation is located and he wants a carving of a kraken-newt used by the smugglers.

Hi MaG....finally found the transfer. Have talked to guard several times and get same replies..does not ask questions..and have talked
with Jarre several times and he does not ask about Harm,etc....have backed up,etc...did all needed..I thought..will try again but something is keeping them from asking things like they should...thanks, Chuck....

Have you learned all about Harm from the messenger's boyfriend at the bathhouse?
Has Jarre told you everything about Harm?
Do you have the message for Harm already?

Hi MaG.......am to put spear in upper water basin..need smaller arrow but water is flowing in wrong direction..in order to pick uo spear in lower basin..how to change water flow..thanks Chuck...

If you changed the season in the garden, then you know how to change the waterfall and the peacock.

Here at the garden:
Turn the garden to summer: Go back down through the left passage.
Place the colour-stone on the basin at lower level. The garden painting is now colorful.
Exit through door at right and check the garden through the round window at left.
See a beautiful garden. The bees are busy making honey. The water is flowing on the waterfall and the apple tree is fully leafed and has an apple on top.

Remember the season change affects the waterfall, garden and the peacock.

Hi Mag.....sorry, but I did all this several times before asking you.....how to reverse the flow of water. This does not do it and the garden is up side down...must flow down to take the spear for arrow to fit bow...thanks, Chuck

When you did this change of the season - did you check the water basin's flow? Did you go to the other side.


Place the spear in the water at upper water basin.
Go down to lower basin and take the shrunken spear - arrow.

Hi MaG...got your WT...picked up where Queen gives 3 tasks to do...your Turn the Garden to Summer..did items,checked Garden...and,
it is Beautiful and RIGHT side up..after this noticed water now flowing down..as it should be and have moved on. (apparently something
off with Gamesover WT was following..it had garden upside down earlier than yours..thanks for help..Chuck..

Hi MaG.....just discovered that turning the garden picture determines the big waterfall is flowing up or down..
having another problem...to place the light fixture on rainbow of colors and I do not get statue of the Queen..this needed later in game..any suggestions...thanks Chuck...

Did you place the colour-stone on the basin of the top level? This should show a rainbow.
Then just left and right click it so that you can study the rainbow. One color should be missing. You have to paint that color on.

Hi MaG.....followed your WT...painted the color..light fixture on colors but nothing..I remember long ago when I first got this game and played it, I had same problem of getting the lite figurine of the Queen..cannot see now what am doing wrong...Chuck

The magic glass and decanter is found at the scholar's table in the library at the Academy of Magic Arts.
