Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 06/28/17 02:31 AM
If you downloaded the game from GOG, there should also be a manual you can download as well.
I don't remember for sure, but see if using the Escape key brings up the Main Menu (where you could then save/load your game as well).

I accidentally deleted a post of deletermans. Here is his latest:
well the fun is over ,in the mine going for the 2nd ride but can't find the cart .any thoughts on this ??

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/02/17 01:23 AM
From the walkthrough (this includes the first ride as well):
Find the working cart that is on the top of the track to your right. Go forward all the way to the other side of the cart, turn around and use the lever that is on the lower left side.
After your ride, go forward out of the cart and look up at the pulley. Take the S-shaped hook. Go back down to the cart room by turning left at the table again. Go forward to the cart that is off the track. You will see a lever next to it. Use the S-shaped hook on that mechanism and then pull the lever to move the tracks. Go back to the cart that you were just in. Pull that lever to make it go again and enjoy another ride! Toward the end of your ride you will jump out just before the cart crashes to the bottom of a pit and breaks with the oil drum that was in there with you.

From the walkthrough above:
After your ride, go forward out of the cart and look up at the pulley. Take the S-shaped hook. Go back down to the cart room by turning left at the table again. Go forward to the cart that is off the track. You will see a lever next to it. Use the S-shaped hook on that mechanism and then pull the lever to move the tracks. Go back to the cart that you were just in. Pull that lever to make it go again and enjoy another ride! Toward the end of your ride you will jump out just before the cart crashes to the bottom of a pit and breaks with the oil drum that was in there with you.
When you go back to the cart that you were just in, look at the walkthrough so you can retrace your steps. You go down to the cart room, so it sounds like you would go up from the cart room to get back to where you started.

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/03/17 03:24 AM
There is a lot do do in the bedroom and the library first... have you followed the walkthrough? You won't be able to place the crystal ball until you finish everything.

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/03/17 03:49 AM
yeah i thought i did do everything ,i follow the walk through word of word.??? thanks so much for your help.. so its back to the bedroom then library again thanks.

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/03/17 03:38 PM
That's what I would do - if you can't place the crystal, you must have missed something. I know the feeling in these games when you think you've done it all, but still have to backtrack! I don't have the game installed right now or I would check for you.

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/04/17 04:04 AM
You might try enlarging the screen using your CTRL key and the mouse wheel... I can't remember which way makes the screen larger, but you can experiment and see if that helps.

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/04/17 03:18 PM
I'll have to check a walkthrough because I don't remember!!
EDIT: I "believe" they mean to follow your arrow cursor to the right side of the room to place the angel medallion on the wall. Yup, that was it... just watched the ending scene... great scene by the way! Now, immediately start playing The Last Sanctuary as it picks up right where Resurrection left off.

back again,at the highgate cemetery - trying to use the anti-vampire system but when i set the frequency reading to 6 it don't work...
Posted By: Draclvr
Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/12/17 03:49 AM
My favorite part of this game! Which of the gargoyles are you trying to get? Each one has a different frequency. I checked the walkthrough and the 6 frequency only works on the horned gargoyle
Posted By: deleterman
Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/12/17 04:25 AM
ok do i have to do them in order ? and each gargoyle has a different frequency ok i get that so which one should i start with ? it is some what dark.
Posted By: Draclvr
Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/12/17 05:43 AM
They are definitely VERY hard to see... it doesn't matter what order you do them in. Just make sure you get the correct frequency for each one.

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/12/17 02:42 PM
I just checked out a different walkthrough and it says this about finding all three gargoyles:
There's really no logical way to figure out where the statues are located -- it's just a matter of searching. If you want to know where they are, read ahead.
Head to the main gates of the cemetery and turn to your right while facing them. The first statue is on the outer wall, in the corner immediately to the right of the gates. The proper setting here is 4.
Continue around the corner until you reach an intersection to your right. Then, look in the block of graves past the intersection and to your right, where you will find another statue on a tomb there. Set the transmitter to 9 to destroy this statue.
Finally, go through the center of the cemetery and head all the way to the far wall. Once you reach it, turn right, and look at one of the tombs to your right for the third and final statue. A setting of 6 will destroy it.
Happy hunting.

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/14/17 11:33 PM
Here's a couple of explanations from a different walkthrough:
What should I do at the small chessboard?
You need another chessboard of sorts before you can do anything here.
Look in the desk at the far end of the hallway, near the stairs down, to find a piece of paper with a chessboard pattern on it.
Put the paper in the chessboard, and you'll now be able to press the labels at the bottom of the board.
Perhaps this is somewhat obvious, but you need to press each of the labels A-H in the appropriate order.
Those labels correspond to the positions of the pieces shown on the left of the board.
Dracula probably wrote down a combination as long as this one.
Look in his notebook and use the vampire glasses while looking at the chessboard page to see the positions of the pieces.
Just enter the column letter of each of the pieces from top to bottom.
This gives you the combination F, B, H, E, A, C, G, D.
When you've entered this correctly, you can remove the paper you put inside the board and find some holes punched. These will be important later.
How do I get across the chessboard at the bottom of the stairs?
There's only one safe path across the board.
It might help if you found a map.
Or made one, to be more precise.
You can do so by getting past the vampire lock upstairs and then using the chessboard that's hidden behind the lock.
When you do everything correctly at the small chessboard, you can reclaim your chessboard paper, only with holes punched in it now.
The holes indicate the only safe squares to stand on.
It would probably help you to know that the colors of the squares are all reversed -- that is, what's a black square on the paper is a white square on the floor and vice versa.
The stairs take you to the bottom of the board, and you're trying to get to the top on the other side. Just follow the path as indicated on the paper until Dracula finds you.
Maybe go back to a previous save and start this all over again; that would be my suggestion. It sounds a bit tricky!

Re: Dracula-Resurrection - 07/18/17 02:49 AM
I don't have the game so have no idea how to save. Maybe the escape key? I looked at the walkthrough here on GameBoomers but didn't see any mention of how to save your game.
Also, please start a new thread for Mystery of the Mummy - otherwise, people will think you are still playing Dracula: Resurrection, and that could get confusing.

That sounds like a technical problem, so please ask your question over in the Glitches forum.
And if you get the game running again, please start a new thread in Hints called Mystery of the Mummy.
