Anyone playing Black Mirror 2017 ? - 12/15/17 09:17 AM

I suppose I should have listened to flotsam, when he warned us against this game in his review, but alas, I did not and bought it anyway.
Now I am hopelessly stuck in chapter 3, the apparition in the greenhouse. I know what to do, but I am simply not fast enough, getting killed every time.
When I mailed THQ Nordic, hoping to get a savegame from them, they gave me this (somewhat arrogant, if you ask me) answer:

"Kindly note that the game is meant to be challenging for the players and some sequences force the user to use different skills and pay attention in greater matter to the details. Also, no blockers are present within the game and all parts can be passed with proper approach."

Anyway, I would be most grateful for a savegame from any player, who was fast enough to get past this scene.

If you look through the Steam discussion forum for this game, there is someone there who has uploaded his saved games for Black Mirror, including saved games for chapter 3 and chapter 4 - right now it's on the first page of the discussion forum. Another player downloaded them and found them to be satisfactory - just look for the post asking for a saved game. I would recommend that you scan the download for malware/virus first, of course, if you decide to use it.

It's unfortunate that the response you got from the company fails to acknowledge the fact that a player can be very intelligent and yet still be unable to get past a particular sequence in this kind of game.

Otherwise, we will just have to wait and see if anyone here can help you out. Good luck.

ok, I take it you mean the one named: Black Mirror Out now on PC ... what is the name of him/her - I fail to see anybody talking about saved games.

Thank you, Marian and Jenny100. I will certainly scan the files, if I decide to download them.

If this game is as difficult as so many people are reporting, I am hoping perhaps some saved games of the "Non-Steam" variety might have become available before I get round to playing it eek12

Oh dear. Just started playing it and already finding some difficulty getting the main character to walk straight (with mouse and keyboard). I've got no chance of getting through this game.

Something that might help others playing this game in the green house ghosts bit in chapter 3. Only try to get to the 3 examine points when they are lit. At least that's how I eventually managed it. Otherwise you'll most likely die trying.

Still finding the controls on a keyboard difficult for precise manoeuvring.

Well done, teassoc. If any of you, like me, just was not fast enough, you can use the save games from the steam link, submitted by Jenny100 earlier in this thread. I downloaded them after checking them carefully and they worked just fine. It may take a while for you to find the right save and you will miss some part of the chapter, since these saves are not made in quite the right places. But at least you will be able to finish the game. There is a similar action sequence in chapter 5 (the library), where you might need a saved game. You need speed and dexterity in several places throughout the game, but these two are the worst in my opinion.
