Beyond Time - East Bank

I, am, stuck, and I don't understand this part. This is the Boat Puzzle. I, am, at the boat dock, I go to the cubbyhole in the alter. I place the golden urn, the golden anubis, and the golden horus. I put all three in the cubbyhole, and click on one, and the boat crosses the river, but it does not stop for me to put it on the other side. I don't know what I, am, doing.

Please explain to me.

Been a long, long time--not sure about this, but maybe it is what you are after:

The Boat Puzzle
This completes the eastward orientation of all four obelisks, and the boat appears at the west bank dock. Move F5 L F L and place the golden urn, jackal, and falcon on the offering stand. You are now ready to ferry the offerings, one at a time, across the Nile to the east bank dock. However, the following pairs cannot be left alone at any time:
Falcon & Urn
Falcon & Jackal
Here's a sequence that will work:
1. Take the falcon to the east bank
2. Return empty to the west bank (just move R)
3. Take the urn to the east bank
4. Return the falcon to the west bank
5. Take the jackal to the east bank
6. Return empty to the west bank
7. Take the falcon to the east bank

I just wanted everyone to know that you don't have to start the game over if you get your items to eat each other up. All you have to do is go back to the Isis Temple and re-enter the codes as you did before. You will get the items you need back. I tried it and it works.
