[LIST] frown I am having trouble with the sliding puzzle. I have tried to get the top line done and then the second, but it doesn't seem to work. Apparently there is a piece missing, but with the walk through I have, it shows all the pieces there. Is there a easy way to solve this? (Yeah, right). Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Hi Butterfly.....There is a least one permutation of this puzzle (if I have you in the the right spot, the Maya tile puzzle on the temple wall) that is not solvable. There should be one piece missing also. I think I'd shake it up a bit and try it again. Also, what walkthrough are you using?

Here are the instructions for the puzzle from 4 Glyph Slider--Congratulations, you've made to the last puzzle in the mayan world! Unfortunately this puzzle is the most difficult in all of timelapse! The idea behind it is simple. Remember the images that appeared after the completion of the movies in each of the 4 temples? The images that you (hopefully) took pictures of? The completed puzzle resembles all 4 of these images. First you need to match the circle and line symbols up with the images so you know where each picture goes. Now the real fun begins. All but one of the images have been cut into 4 pieces and scrambled together. You need to rearrange them. When you complete one of the pictures it freezes in its place making the remainder of your work space even smaller. As far as I know, there is no real cheat to this one. The authors of the Timelapse Review and Walkthrough website give this advice "a good strategy is to concentrate on configuring the first 4-element row and first 4-element column of the puzzle before completing any 2 x 2 subsection (as long as this is not where the missing piece is)". It is also possible that you will work towards the last image and find that it is impossible to finish. It seems that there is nothing to do in this case but to start over. Be patient and keep at it!

Also checkout Tally's great Slder Puzzle Help It's directly aimed at the slider in Safecracker but does have some notes for the slider in Timelapse.

Here is what the "Timelapse: The Official Strategy Guide" book by Prima says:

"Look carefully at the puzzle's border. A red bar appears on the upper left, two blue dots on the lower left, a single orange dot on the upper right, and a green bar on the lower right. If you examine the icons from the four temples, you find the same sets of bars and dots."

Jaguar - two blue dots - lower left corner of slider puzzle
Skull - red bar - upper left corner of slider puzzle
Monkey - one orange dot - upper right corner of slider puzzle
Lizard - green bar - lower right corner of slider puzzle

When you put an icon in its correct place in the puzzle the pieces will fuse.

Also - the puzzle regenerates randomly every time you approach or restart it - that's why there's no list of moves to solve it.

Good Luck!
