New Carousel problem

Hello again! I am to the point where I'm supposed to ask Ingrid about Spook 10 and get the arm and pliers from her. But when I go to her, that dialog is not available and I can't get the arm or pliers. Also, when I called Paula, I got her and not her machine, so I couldn't leave a message. Don't know what I may have missed.

I'm looking in the strategy guide. Did you get the harmonica and play the tune for Miles? You also have to get an envelope from Harlan that contains a key. You have to go to the haunted house to find the pliers. You'll hear a noise and notice something moving above your head. You have to step back out of the way before it falls on you. That happens after you get the pliers. Turn around and go back up the stairs, and then you'll see the Spook with the missing arm. Then you go to Ingrid. I haven't played this part so let me know how it goes.

There is no need to start a new thread on a game thread you already posted on. This way we can follow your progress and read what you've done rather than hunt for it.

One thing that you might need to finish is Mile's puzzle about the carousel horse's name and the last riddle.

Do you have the brass ring yet?

gave miles the horse's name. I have the brass ring.

Have you solved the last riddle?
Have talked to Tink and looked at the magazine at Elliot's office?

Looked at the magazine in Elliot's office and talked to the guy who wrote the article. Got the wife's nickname, but can't tell it to Miles. Getting more and more frustrated..lol... thanks for your help by the way!

That happened to me, I talked to Inrid and she took the plies from me, so I went back to the Haunted House and went back to the secret room and came out and looked at Spook and touched his chest and and looked at the red tag, then went back to Ingrid and spoke to her and she gave me the arm and pliers to fix spook, sometimes you have to go to other places and talk with the others and go back to get what you want.

Try it talk to the others and then go back to Ingrid.

i have talked to everyone until they're sick of me! One comment you made, Liz... you said you touched Spook's check and looked at the red tag... I don't see a red tag...

The "red tag" is one of those that you take to Harlan so that he will turn on the power. Have you found and read the letter that is up in the roof of the room inside the carousel?

If you've checked the walkthroughs and have done everything in them, maybe you need to back up to your last saved game and play forward again. Sometimes that shakes something loose...

I know what the red tags are, but Liz said she looked at the red tag after touching Spook's chest. I don't see a red tag in this area.

Also.. I'd rather walk through fire than play those arcade games again...lol

I just got to talk to Elliott about his purchase of wood... something that hadn't happened the last... fifty times I'm roamed around this park!

I'm glad you look like you're making some progress--I know what you mean about that arcade game. I almost had cardiac arrest when I realized that I was going to have to go back to a save and replay it! But it was surprisingly easy the second time.

As for things you might not have done, have you:

***typed "Glory" on the bill of sale in your inventory
***told Joy what the horse's name was
***Gotten the third riddle from Miles
***called Tink to ask about the book
***left a message with Paula

I don't know how many of those things you've done, but check the list just to be sure you haven't missed anything...

what I mean is click to get a closer look at spook and he should have a red tag on his chest, you can't take it off until you fix him, that is why you are trying to get from Ingrid his arm and the pliers, after you done that, you are able to take the red tag and give it to the security guard to turn on the power for spook.

Before anything do this first, see if you can click on Spook's arm where is missing, maybe Nancy will comment on it and might trigger something and then go see Ingrid again.

Check your emails, call everyone on the phone, maybe something will trigger something and go back to Ingrid again. I remember this part when Ingrid took the plier from me, but can't pin point what exactly I did to get her to give me the plier and arm to me. Or maybe you need to look at that magazine from Elliot where there is a phone number inside of someone who is an expert on Kessler, and call that number to get a nickname.

BOY DO I FEEL LIKE A DUMMY! Turns out I wasn't looking at Spook 10 at all! Yep, that's right. All this time I've been clicking like a maniac on the robot laying on the floor in the hallway in front of the door! I was passing by...for the 99th time... and happened to notice the thing hanging on the wall and a little red tag!!!

Made it through to the end of the game and now it's onward and upward....
