Journey to the C of Earth

I am stuck fairly early in the game, trying to get to the monorail. I am going round in circles in the city of Askiam between the pharmacy, the balloonist, and the triceratops (and more) and I cannot find the way to the elevated monorail.
Can someone please help me!

There are 3 places to get up to the monorail. These places are like towers with entrance at the base which automatically takes you to the monorail above.
One is the left side path while facing the Communication Center.
There's one in the market which is the first opening left while facing the exit out of the market.
The third is at the plaza, right of the petstore.

I think??? there's another - maybe not.

Please help. I am in the city and took the sky rail to other parts. But I need to get back to the gate so I can fix the camera and other things.

Get off the sky rail in any part of the city like market or communications center.
Then walk to the gate and click on the gate to get out.
Be sure you have done all that is needed to do within the city and have the file and iron sheet from the university.
