Journey to center of Earth

Have gotten to City of Askiam. Did what needed doing but am stuck between the city gate and the iron fence. Looked at WT but can't see what I'm missing. Help, please.

Grannieannie, have you tried cliking at the bottom right of your screen. It's a bit tricky.

Have tried your suggestion. No luck. Would it be helpful for me to go back to a gave that was saved before I arrived at the city?

Can you be more specific as to where and what you are trying to do now. Are you trying to enter or go out of the sity. Can't picture the place at moment.

I have spoken to the guard at the gate, gone into the tower and developed photo, gone thru the gate and spoken to the chief, read the poster. Now I can't progress any further.

Ah, I remember - there is quite a pixel hunt to turn around and go to the city.

If you are not zoomed in anymore on the posters and see the gate and fence, move that cursor at bottom of the page. As Chief stated the hotspot might be below right of the screen. Just search and you will be able to get to the next screen.

I found a single footprint which placed me in front of the posters but can't get any further than that. Blood pressure is rising.

When you're standing by the posters, there's a hot spot-footprint at bottom left of the frame.



Click on that footprint and be with the wall behind you. Move the cursor to the bottom right this time (no hotspot or footprint) and that will take you to the next screen - the city streets.

Grannie, hope you can move on and enter the city by the fence.

That did the trick. Thanks a ton. It's great having you guys out there to save my sanity.

This is a really good game but mine has a lot of glitches with scenes popping in and out that are not related to what is going on at the point. Right now, Ariane is stuck in the arched opening of the fisherman's hut after having had her second conversation with him and I cannot get her moving at all. What can I do?

Grannieannie - post at Glitches to see what they have to say. Also do a search and see what previous threads at Glitches have stated about problems and solution with this game.

Grannie, I had the same problems you are having. See if you can get her to turn around or look at something else. That area has spots that she seems to get stuck in.

Finished Journey to Center of Earth, although not without the help of the WT from time to time. I'm looking forward to the day I can get through a game without peeking at the WT. This was an enjoyable game even though there were many glitches that caused frustration. Will now be installing Dark Fall - The Journal. Hope it is as good as Journey and Syberia (which I really liked a lot). I'll probably be back looking for help.

I'm glad you finished Journey to Center of Earth. Don't sweat using a walkthrough, view it as a reminder. Dark Fall didn't have any glitches that I remember.

I Can't Place the unique ball on the open pipe-tube. what can i do?

Ushers, welcome to gameboomers. If you can't place the unique ball on the tube then it's the wrong one. You have to go back and try again to get the correct one.

top row..dark blue, dark purple sky blue[lightning]
second row...burgandy, pale grayish blue and turquoise

Adams hut i have already past,i have walked over the bridge and now i'am downstaires.

So you have finished with the men in the hut and need to go to Askiam?
Go left from Adams and you will come to another bridge, follow it. As you near the end of the bridge look to your left and you should see a ladder that will take you down to the ground.

So you have already walked through the big plants? I think that you are at the place where you need to get rid of the T-Rex then. There is a hollow tree trunk near you, I think on your right. You need to make a big noise and scare the big guy away. Did you take the pigments from Adams hut? You should have some black powder, a vine and a large leaf that you cut to walk in there. Take the leaf, place the colored pigments on that, the black powder and then the vine. You have a lighter with you. Light it and watch him leave your area.

We didn't yet walkthrough the big plants,were standing in the open spot and can go through there,we have 3 coloured powder and no black.
Further there is no body and were can we cut of the leaf.

The black powder is back at the lookout station on the table I think. You will have to go back to get it. Make sure you search the whole area up there, seems like there was something else that you could take. Oh, you need to take the machete also on the table and there are some vines on a chair.
Once you've backtracked and picked up the things you need, you will be able to move forward. So cross the bridge again, go down to the ground and when you see the area on the left[should show up as a hot spot], whip out your machete and cut off a leaf. Make sure you take the leaf with you.
Now you should have the basics for your fireworks.

Iwen't back to the lookout and there was nothing to pick up.he just ask for fixing the horn blower.how you fix it?

Oh, you've missed a few key things. If you haven't helped the injured man you also need to do that. So go back down and walk to the suspension bridge. On the right side {don't go on it} there's a stump. You should have a knife in inventory, so take a hunk of this stump which I think is a felled mushroom. Take this back to the lieutenant and he will be able to aid his friend.
Go back downstairs and go back to the crystal cavern and take the bellows that you used to make the crystal replacement for Adam, Go back to the lookout station and go over to the broken horn. If you will take your lighter and use it on the tip of the bone, you can make a replacement for the broken shell. Once you've done that, take your replacement piece and put it on the end, then attach your bellows. Go back and tell the lieutenant.
Before you leave, make sure you look at the map and take everything.
