Treasure Hunter- mission 2

I am at the end of mission 2. I have done everything the walkthrough says yet I am unable to organize the team. The only thing I can think of is that I did not actually water Mrs. Peabody's plants. The only thing I saw that even looked like a water pitcher was a teapot on the table and I was unable to pick it up. How do I advance.

It turns out you do NOT have to water the plants. When I wrote I couldn't advance. I tried to go to the bank to get a loan and had no luck as my money was rather low. well later on I tried again and this time it worked. I have no idea why. Must be one of those unexplained glitches.
