Law Order Justice Served - 02/16/05 05:41 AM

Highly entertain so far! Am at the 27th Precinct; have just checked in with Tony Jefferson. The w.t. now directs me to view the research report on the access card. Have no clue as to how to do this.

Also, I now need to view the research report on Mark Greenfield, and take it.

I click on the research folder, but don't see it. So ...HELP!!!!

Hi Russ,

I scanned Len's wt to see what I can find out. Reread Preface - F & G and see if that helps. wink

Hi Russ,

Click on the folder to open it and then drag the access card (or anything else) onto the folder, which will submit it for research. Then when it is ready, your phone will ring and the research dept. will tell you it is ready. Go to the research room and you can view the research by clicking on the name of the item in the dialog, that you submitted.

Hi (again!): Did everything so far in W.T., but it now directs me (on the map) to Jimmy Russo. His name is nowhere on the map! I rechecked my previous steps; nothing seems to not have been done. THanks. Doc Russ

Jimmy Russo has 2 names. He's the security guard. Did you learn of his other name yet? If so, the map probably lists his other name, Pete Hamlin I think?

I hope this helps. Let me know.

Also, don't forget that when you get a report (either a crime lab report or a surveillance report or a research report or a psych report) you have to check to see if you can pick that report up. If you don't pick it up, you won't have it to use to question people about it. While you are at the research office (or the crime lab, or the surveillance office, or the psych office) you will be asked which thing you want to start with first. You will choose topics and the person will tell you info about that topic. To the left of the topics, you will see the item they are talking about (or the person) and the report will be there. Be sure to move your cursor over the report while they are talking or after they have finished to see if you have an open hand icon, because if you do, you can pick up that report and it will then be in your inventory.

I apologize if you already knew this, but I wanted to be sure, just in case.

Well, I couild not continue the w.t., so I wandered everywhere, visited where I could, got all the stuff from Elena's apartment EXCEPT: TLhere simply are NO hate-mail letters there!

I disovered that magically, Jimmy Russo's name appeared on the map, so I went there, got his fingerprints. BUT .. can't get a report from the Crime Lab showing him to be Hamlin.

No matter if I finish this game, or not; it's fun, and the puzales in Elena's room (note, music-box, etc) are very entertainingl I did not have to use the w.t. for those!!).

I'll hang in therek but the w.t. does seem a bit out of step with the game I'm playing (f9llowing). No problem; still fun! Doc and grandkids

HI Russ,

Did you submit/drag Jimmy Russo's picture on to the open research & surveillence folders on your desk? If not, you should do so.

Any time you want to check on a report, all you have to do is use your phone to check messages. When you hang up, your phone will ring again with the report.

The hate mail is on the table in Elena's apt. You must be missing it.

I really liked the puzzles too. I'm glad you're having fun.

Re: Law Order Justice Served - 02/22/05 07:35 AM

I think the report that shows him to be Hamlin is actually from the research department instead of the crime lab. It is often redundant, but it is best to just try to run a research check on every person and thing that you pick up, and a crime lab check on every single thing, and a psych check and surveillance on every single person. Another tip is that often one surveillance check is not enough. You have to keep asking for more if you want the person watched again. Once you have picked up the report, they stop watching them unless it is still marked "pending."

I did submit everything and everyone to every place!! I have loads of info now. I will submit Russos stuff to the crime or research labs as you indicate.

But, I looked all over Elena's apartment once again .. a oood ten minutes. If there's hate mail there, I sure am blind (well, actually I AM 3/4s blind, so, I need a bigger magnifier!!).

Thanks; you folks are nothing but SWELL!

~~ RussMyer ~~

I don't thik there is any 'trigger' necessary to obtain the hate-mail ... only to get Elena's apartment on the map.

Once you're inside (you've got the key ??) it's on the round table next to the plate & box of crackers ... maybe a bit difficult to see ??

Hi: I FINALLY found the hate-mail. Moving the cursor even 1/32nds of an inch 'loses' the mail. I finally saw the cursor 'jump' a hair and voila ....found it. I'll see what else I can do with the game. Would be fun to get to the trial stage .. but the Lt. keeps saying I don't have enough evidence! I'll keep plugging away. Thans, folks .... Russ

I'm glad you found the mail, Russ!!

(Hint): Remember, sometimes you have to keep following someone around to catch them in a lie!

Happy gaming,
