Case of Rose Tattoo - Hargrove Studios

I have reached the point where I am at the photographer's studio - I need to get into the back studio but no matter what I do or the conversation choices I choose Hargrove will not let Holmes draw the curtain - I have tried this part three times now and nothing is working ... can anyone help?
