I have done a search in this category for this game for the whole last year and came up with nothing.....either this is a very OLD game or noone had any trouble with it.
I am currently having a problem trying to find the "Hatch to Engineering" from the pilots seats - can someone take me by the hand and lead me to that hatch? please? Thanks

Hi Jenny. Thanks, yes, I have that walkthrough. And as soon as I walked out the door today I realized that I did not describe my problem - the walkthrough says "Turn around and go to the Flight Controls between the pilot seats on the main control panel. Access the Navigation System. Then access the Worm Drive Control. Press Activate". This is where I am having a problem. I have clicked on the Navigation System, and then on the Worm Drive Control but I can find nowhere that it says ACTIVATE. I have already found the 'Plasfo Space Buoy' on that Star Map and my sym noted the coordinates, so I can't figure out what I have done wrong here, or what I have missed. Am I supposed to click on something else on the System and Control panels? I have clicked everywhere on the screen and get no active cursor to see anything to do with it/them. In a quandry.

Nevermind. I got it. Somehow my eyes skipped one whole paragraph in that w/t and I missed an important step in the process. I am now at the Plasfo Space Buoy and taking a deep breath before going inside it. Thanks for you help. Sorry to be such a ditz. Heck, I'm blonde (or used to be).

You can cross reference with another wt titled - Syn-factor . They're supposed to be the same game.

OK, I have used my credit computer on the magnetic field and have .105 rin, have attempted to talk to Rendel and see log books, gone upstairs to bathroom and blew it up, he is MAD!, went down and pried his booth open, entered, read logs, got Dog Ships position, went back up to bathroom and he is still MAD!, went to shuttle, linked with the computer clicked on NAV sys and my destination is entered (by my sym), clicked on Flight Systems so I can INITIATE but I am going nowhere, I have no fuel, where do I get it? Rendel won't talk to me, where/how do I fuel up?

Betty Lou, I don't think it's a fuel problem--that isn't mentioned anywhere in Witchen's walkthrough. It may be in the Worm Drive control system. Did you press the button to route it to the Flight Cabin? I'll copy the relevant part of the walkthrough: SPOILER

Leave the Flight Cabin and go directly across the passageway, through the hatch to Engineering. You will find the Worm Drive Control system in the far right corner of the room. Enter the code (2931) to the system and bring it on line by pressing "Activate." Route the Worm Drive control to the Flight Cabin by pressing the Flight Cabin button. The button is on the control system to the left, near the hatch, as you leave this area.

I did that, but I will go back and check again. However, the message I am getting in the Shuttle, on the computer, in Flight Systems, is NO FUEL or FUEL TANK EMPTY - don't understand why, and that 'bot won't even talk to me he is so mad his bathroom is gone - what the heck does HE need it for anyway, I'm the one with my legs crossed! haha

I just went back and checked, here is the message I get after doing what I was supposed to :
"Energy Cells are Depleted, Departure Not Possible". The only thing I can do now is play from a save just previous to this one where I first enter this place.

Hi, I'm back, went back and redid this part from where I arrive on BOUY, followed w/t exactly and get same message.....I did notice that when I first entered the bathroom and was standing next to those dangerous conduits, that I did not get a warning about them only "--" shows in the dialogue box below, mmmmm, (scratches head), so now what? can't go anywhere without ENERGY CELLS refueled, something is not working here.

Hi Betty Lou.........There are factually years between me and this one, but it sounds like either you need more money (.rin) to enable your power supply, or you have a glitch in the game. Its and old game; even older now, so it might be a little "touchy" technical-wise. Back up and do it again if the following doesn't work out: (that's about all I can advise)

Go forward once to assume the position you had when you first came into the room. Get out your Credit Computer and use it. On your screen display, you should see the message, "Use Credit Computer with what?" Click five times on the pipes just above where the word "with" displays. The magnetic field in the bare conduit will increase your .rin account to .105 , if you do it correctly. If not, you will be minus a few .rin. Use the magnetic field on your Credit Computer until you have at least .105 rin.

Ah Ha! The secret is::::::SPOILER HERE
In the room just outside Renlen's little cubicle there is the door (cracked open) to his room, and to the right of that is a large screenlike window where you can talk to it/him......This is where I needed to go to pay for my fuel, use the creditcardthingy on the creditchargelinkthingy and AWAY WE GO!!!!
I honestly don't understand Ren's being so upset about a little mess in the bathroom! It was all in FUN!!!
Anyone else who has not played this one should try it, it is GREAT! Playing along beautifully now. And the biggest secret of all is that one should turn every direction and click on absolutely everything one can and more than once to CHECK IT OUT! That is how I discovered my overlooking the 'retail window' haha
