Myst Online: Uru Live - Season Finale - November 1st

“Exodus” (beginning in mid-October)

The words have been repeated many times. Even while the restoration effort begun again and with the release of new Ages, the words were always said. With the resurrection of the D'ni city, the Guilds, the DRC, and new life filling the cavern again, the words continued to hang in the air above the orange waters.

What do they mean?

While many questions have been answered, there are more that remain. What effect will Cate have on the restoration now that the members of the original restoration team have returned? Where will the Bahro war take us? Is the one who originally spoke the words finished with her part in this grand story?

With the release of the new Age of Ahnonay as well as K’veer Island and Myst Island, there will be changes.

Great news! I was hoping we'd see Ahnonay in the season-ender.

Now I just have to figure out where we'll be exodusing to. Myst Island will get a bit crowded if we all decide to make a home there.

I have just recently (after playing online for a couple months) gone back to my Complete Chronicles game that i had given up on..and am now 'doing' Ahnonay. Mind bender. Don't know if what they will give us will be the same or not(i do wish they'd make it a bit simpler..)but will be looking forward to it. AND some new stuff too!

gamenut, since what you are playing is single player Ahnonay and what we most likely will get is multiplayer Ahnonay (which I think was the intent for the original Uru Live), then it should be a lot more fun to do! I am looking forward to what we will get and hope I can remember what to do! Lol, all I remember how to do was the swim!!!!! Maybe we should plan a GameBoomer Ahnonay weekend after the episode...

If i had not gotten a good 'spoiler' here i would have drowned for sure!!! i had been at it for days!!( i was starting to grow coral i think..). I think i finished CC..not sure..but think so. whew! No prob about messge in game...i figured maybe you were busy w/relay stuff! i had the nicest visit in the Watcher's Pub with some new people (new to me). One was from Finland, another from Italy, and the rest US. Was very interesting!

*starting to panic* Can we exodus together? I don't want to be separated from my fellow Game Boomers!!

Exodus! Eek.....but the thought of actually seeing myst Island again. I think I am salivating So, the He....do you think that Rand has found his Atrus costume??? Can you imagine going into K'veer and...(gasp)...talking to Atrus???

Maybe the Exodus doesn't mean that the explorers are going out of D'ni -- maybe Exodus means that the inhabitants of Releeshan are coming back to D'ni.

That would include Atrus, right?

Oooh, that would be cool, Becky. I didn't think of that - probably because I have no experience of Myst beyond the live version. I know the main characters' names and the story (roughly) but I don't know all the details. Can't wait to see what happens mid-October!

You know...the more i try to figure out what's going on the less i find i know.! I am about to think that Teledahn was the beginning and everyone ate those 'shrooms and the rest is one big TRIP! ahha. you know..i noticed in Jalek that when the platform of pillars is raised to the top..by the right of the left yellow flag off in the far distance and up there seems to be some sort of ''thing'' on the side of the mountain. reminds me of some kind of chair lift or something. maybe is just the way the graphics are..but still...... AND now we have the 5 guild shirts...and on the game board there are 4 colors! (i guess the dark gray gets left out)....and didn't that little booklet mention they watched the games? From where? there's no seats, seating...those walls are sort of smooth-ish rock w/some rectangular openings.... Like i said..maybe too many 'shrooms???

The other day I went to the Eder Delin linking book in the Bevin and found it was snowing there and things looked very different to me (lost again) but I did find a Relto page and now I have the red maple trees but my evergreen trees have disappeared. Is there any way to get them back and have both types of trees? I like trees! And I also like the grass that I have so I don't want that to disappear on me just because I clicked on the wrong Relto page. Like getting snow or something that I can do without.

What is a "sparkie" and why should I be interested in it?

Sierra, the "sparkie" is the blue glittery thing that appears in a different location each month. If you find it, and run through it, then a new "light" appears on the platform in your relto.

Each one is only available for 1 month. I don't think we know yet what will happen when you get 12 of them. Maybe something cool; maybe nothing

So that's what they are. I have 2 of them and I wondered what they were doing there. I remember running through a light in Ercana and wondering why nothing happened, but I didn't connect it with the light on the platform, which I've been thinking was another little island at the end of the bridge.

I saw the sparklie! and managed to nab it!...haven't seen any of you guys lately....

A lot of other games have released lately! (I'm just now surfacing from East Side story.) October is the busiest month. I'm hoping to get into MOUL later tonight.

Went to the URU Obsession site to see a place called ASHEM'EN, a small silo on the D'NI Lake for away from Ae'gura. It's an area that opened 2007-06-26.

Any of you visited that place?

It looks like the place we go to after making pellets in Er'Cana and take the pellet and link and go there and the machine in the farground looks like the one we put the pellet into and then it drops into the lake......

Hey gang! Anything exciting going on in MOUL lately? I haven't been able to sign in all week. I see from myst.com that the finale starts on November 1st. I won't be able to sign in until the evening that day but I'll be there!

I beat the door down (okay, I asked nicely) for some screenshots from the upcoming episode. But so far, no joy.

the other day i could only get 38% of the Uru screen (at GameTap) to load...wanted to check for anymore news/shots...but that is all i could get. finally i typed in the path to the forums...did not see anything new there..and no one seemed to mentioned not being able to log on to the game or mention having trouble getting the game info screen thru GT to load. I would hope this means they will have A LOT of GOOD and INTERESTING content being loaded since i guess we won't have any more until several months into the new year ahead. 'course i still have not done Minkata yet. my brain just goes into 'snooze' mode whenever i enter there....it may be the last age i do...

According to the MystOnline site, the date of the season finale is now November 1.

(I'm adjusting this thread's title to reflect that change.)

The next episode, Episode 9: Exodus, is available for download. Weighing in at 399mb. Logging onto URU is still not available but should be shortly. Good Luck!

Yes, I know, it won't all appear at once so I must be patient. But....it begins tomorrow!!!

I guess we won't see a lot of Dudemom or Boomer Bob since they will be busy typing away. Maybe we will have a crowd in our hood when something happens and they will send us a Relayer all our own.

I won't be able to be in cavern for at least a couple of weeks. My laptop died yesterday! I almost had a cow, the timing is just lousy.

The bright side of this catastrophy is I'm getting a new laptop. It will be a scorcher and I hope lag is now a thing if the past.

I'll say hello when I do get in assuming everyone is still around and have not done an "Exodus" somewhere else.

KateVa - Its so exciting, isn't it?? Unfortunately, I found out today that I have to work even later than normal tomorrow night. I'm glad for the money but it means I won't get into the game until late in the evening, if at all. But I'll be there for sure on Friday night.

r_fike - There's timing for you! Couldn't it have waited another week before dying? Well, if we exodus, we'll be sure to let you know where we go so you can find us. Boomies stick together!

The steps of doom? What - are there hundreds of them or something? Are we going to pass out from shortness of breath once we reach the top of them? Grrr... I hate being stuck where I can't get into the game. I really wish they would start episodes over the weekend instead of on weekdays. Well, keep me posted, Becky.

I may be over-reacting -- I hope so. We had a relayed session in the GameBoomers Hood. There are plot developments that we don't know if they are related to on-the-surface realities. You need to get ahold of a chat log.

Edit: Okay, home now and spent an hour exploring. I've heard rumors of a new sparklie but have yet to find it. I also spoke with someone who said that she and a friend heard a terrifying noise in their Bevin after they'd been in it for about ten minutes, chatting. I spent some time in our Bevin but didn't hear anything. However...

I dont think it is doom steps Becky. I reread the Blake interview and I feel VERY encouraged after seeing the GT newsletter.

Now I wanted to add a spoiler here and I cant remember how to do it! However, tonight is a good time to be online...heheh
