Sacred Rings

I have finally moved the house and have left it in the canyon. I was getting frustrated with the first part of this game because you had to go back and forth, in and out of doors so many times. I wish that more games would do what Jonathan Cooper did with The Key (a free game on GB). He put in a "zip mode" so you didn't have to click left, right, foward, forward, to the left 3 times, then go forward (well, you get my drift). When I played The Key it was so nice to go to the zip mode and you could just click to the place you needed to go. Does anyone have any idea why this is not instigated in many of the games where you have to go back and forth or up and down so many times?

I hate to be a party pooper but!

In general cases it makes what might be a very short game last an awful lot longer, making you think you got value for your hard earned!

Am I too cynical?

If the graphics are good, I enjoy looking at the scenery as much as being at the destination.

Ocasionally i have that feeling too, why again go back to an area i have been already ump-times. No point if it is twice for example exploring first, finding a door and have to go back to activate something to open this door... but sometimes i think, yea, right, (sigh) let's walk some more (even if the scenery is beautiful)

Guess I hadn't thought that it would make the game last longer, and you're getting your money's worth. In this game, in the first part, there wasn't much scenery, unless you kept going outside, but most of the moving around was in the "house." Haven't done the Capri ones yet - those I probably would enjoy moving around and not skipping a place.
