Agatha Christie: Evil Under The Sun-Is it out?

With Becky informing us that the release date was the 12th of October i was wondering whether anyone can confirm that the game is out. I preordered from interact which still has the release date as 18th of October. The UK sites i buy games from have the release date as 23rd of November. Thanks for any information you might provide

Butcher -- there is often a gap between the release date and when the game hits store shelves. More and more, I'm seeing varied definitions of what "release" means.

To some publishers, the game releases when it starts shipping to warehouses and online stores, and then from these intermediary stops, on to stores and online customers -- so there's a gap. Other publishers try to time their "release" announcements so that the game is actually hitting shelves at the same time as the "release date" announcements.

I wish I could hit the release date squarely on the nose each time, but I never seem to manage that.

Yeah, that was what i had in mind as well but still some shops tend to have release dates which are quite different from each other. So my guess is that the publishers have given different dates for the game to be available to the public, for example amazon.com has the date as 16th of October, Interact the 18th, whereas amazon.co.uk, game.co.uk and play.com have the date as 23rd of November. Which makes things even more confusing

Edit-BTW Becky can you confirm whether the game will be shipping with a book as well like the two previous AC games?

As far as I know, it will not ship with a book.

Evil Under the Sun shipped out to stores on October 12th. It should be hitting shelves at Walmart on or around October 22nd. It will also be available at Gamestop, Best Buy and Target, and should be showing up in those three stores later this week.

Interact has this as being released tomorrow, i wonder whether they will be shipping the preorders tomorrow.


Edit-Just received an email from Dave that my game has been shipped

Just received a e-mail from Dave that the game was just shipped. Can't wait to play it. Should get it by Saturday.
