Orient Express - 03/11/07 04:00 AM
I am into the new Orient Express game and so far so good no problems. This game generates a few questions. Is it me or is the game taking a big leap when it expects our heroine to repair the pipe under the train? We have our super detective laying on his bed feeling sorry for himself over a sprained ankle. There is a conductor, a baggage man and an engineer all hanging around doing nothing. One guy is in a bad way worrying about eating, another about freezing to death and doing nothing about it. and our poor woman left to do all the work.
I am at the point where she is crawling around looking at the broken pipe under the train while all the guys are just, ---- well doing nothing. Hmm so i gotta figure out what's next. But I would think the game at this point should have the player control a character who has some sort of expertise to solve this problem. If the developers wanted to go in this direction they should have not made such a leap away from logic. Even if it came to her saying "look you need to get off your rear, get a wrench, a piece of pipe and etc.
Like I said so far a good game but this scene is quite a stretch. What do you guys think is it just me?
