BS3: Sleeping Dragon = Best Voice Acting of Any Game...Ever - 07/25/04 12:10 AM
I'm about quarter of way thru Broken Sword 3, and am absolutely riveted by the voice acting. I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't hired professional actors for this game, it's that good. If you thought that the (droning, boring, endless) dialogue in Longest Journey was good (and you can see that I did not; had to dump that turkey after about 2 hours), then give this one a try. The character interaction is actually enjoyable, sometimes funny, and pertinent; and it doesn't go on until you're ready for a NoDoz to continue.
I've been avoiding this game because of the keyboard controls. But it's really not too hard to learn and get used to (a little more involving than URU). The purported "action" sequences are really very easy, and (dare I say it), fun too. I finally broke down and got it, because my Best Buy didn't have any of the new stuff in yet, and this was only $15. Randy at JustAdventure had this as his #1 game last year, and like most people it seems, I didn't listen. We should have.
It is a breakneck bear to get to run, though. It has some kind of security key that you have to get around, and if you peruse the good folks in here in Bugs and Patches, I'm sure one of their suggestions will work for you (as it finally did for me). The fixes on their web site are (can you believe it), worthless.
