Recommend old DOS games to play - 02/18/06 10:47 PM
Now that DOSBOX is available, I can think of a few DOS games that I would like to play. But alas, I think I threw them away because I thought they were no longer playable:
Crusader No Remorse
Crusader No Regret
But I still have:
Tomb Raider
Leisure Suit Larry Series
Cyberia I & II
What would fellow gamers recommend?

DOSBox is great for many legacy games
but many of them will also play in Windows XP using it's own Virtual DOS Machine as well with the help of VdmSound or without it.
ScummV is also a great emulator as well
my philosophy is do what ever it takes to get the game to run.
inferno
Lighthouse
Rama
GK1
Toonstruck
Tex Murphy Series
Faust
Are You Afraid of the Dark?
Ring
Obsidian
Morpheus
The Zork Series
The Pantasmagoria Series
The Monkey Island Series
Blackstone Chronicles
Sherlock Holmes Series
Azreal's Tear
The Dark Eye
7th Guest
11th Hour
Clandestiny
The Black Cauldron
Kings Quest Series

I believe all of the Tomb Raider games will play in Windows XP, with the appropriate patches applied.
Visit:
Tomb Raider Chronicles for the XP patches.
Also - Tomb Raider 1 looks much better when run under GLIDOS. You can find it at the URL below.
