Black Dahlia patch

<img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" /> My runes are stuck! And I never even opened the bag this time till I needed them! Have reloaded and restarted this game 4 times and just plodding my way through some of the weird stuff it decides to do but this is too much. A friend sent me a patch but when I try to run it I get the message "A required .DLL file MSS32.DLL was not found." and of course it refuses to execute (an interesting word...hmm). Am running this on W98SE on a Compaq Presario PI. Game runs smoothly not a problem but keeps messing up - people missing, RUNES STUCK, etc. Have been bounced to desktop only once on disk #4 in the locked room at the Raven Room, restored and did not get bounced a 2nd time. Tried to download a patch from one of the sites listed but it does not download, just hangs. HELP PLEASE I'm gonna start blubbering soon. <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="" title="" src="graemlins/cry.gif" />

Where did you try to download the patch from?
If you went to Patches-Scrolls and tried to download it from the Filefront link, there are several clicks you have to do to get it to download.
Click link at Patches-Scrolls to get a page with bdpatch.zip listed. Click where it says "Download Now" to get another page. Scroll down to click where it says "Launch Public Download." You should get a download box to pop up after that.

That's just what I did. I've tried it about 6x. When I get to Launch Public Download it hangs. I even left it up for 1/2 and hour the last time in case there was no download box but it truly was just doing nothing. A couple of those times I had to restart my computer to get out.

I just emailed you the patch bdpatch.zip

It's 788K in size.
You need to unzip it with winzip or another archive program.
It unzips to bdpatch.exe.
Copy the bdpatch.exe to your game folder and run it to make it patch your game.
