Any news about FourFatChicks?

Does anyone know what happened to FourFatChicks?

I regularly frequent this great site, and I have learned that their forum had been hacked recently.

Now I cannot even access their site. Has it been hacked again?

Hi DavidT -- I can't access their site either. I don't have any news about it, though, unfortunately. I'm hoping another member will know something.

The site was given to other people who decided to use the site for non adventure blogging/wasting time. They haven't done anything adventure related in months.

Give the new owners time to find what they want to do with the site. It will take time to do so.
Also it is their prerogative to do what they want - it is their site.

Shadow, we've not been an adventure-only site for quite a while. All the writers play a lot of different genres and we like to share our experiences, whether good or bad; hence the move to everything and anything. We still write/talk about adventures, just not all the time. Hopefully, you'll find something you like there. If not, that's okay too.

Well..glad to hear you guys are still contributing to the gaming world & about the new site. Four Fat Chicks has/had become an institution, so you know there are high hopes for your new venture.

As I'm also a member there, but haven't been visiting them too often lately, I'm glad to hear they're up and running again. Now, I wonder if they transferred all the member's accounts exactly as was? I'd better trot over there and have a look..

Yes, you will have to re-register. The FFC member list was not carried over.

Moondancer -- if it's a new site and forum, I would expect that you'd have to re-register. Have you tried emailing them?

Oh, ok then, I'll re-register. That's a pity, because anti-spamming measures makes registering harder and harder these these days.

Of course, you could get fired up about re-registering by visiting the original FFC site and watching steerpike and me in a skit as animated cartoons. No, really. We're cartoons.

Thanks! T-R is and will remain a group effort. A lot of people have worked hard to bring the site to life.

As for keeping FFC alive as a sort of museum, that's not clear. Servers aren't free and all the content is moving to T-R. There are no forums at FFC and no new content is being added. FFC is, in effect, inert. A ghost site. My suggestion would be to visit it now if you want to refresh your memories.
