art of murder

how is this game i like fbi murder point and click games but i heard this game is too much like still life and the controls and inteface are arkward

opinions please

I think most of us here have only got the demo to go on so far davech! It's a point & click game - I didn't personally find the controls & interface awkward at all! - but maybe you should try out the demo.

Unless dave is referring to the first Art of Murder game, which has been out for a while now. I loved Art of Murder, and didn't have any problems with the controls/interface. Good story, interesting puzzles that weren't too difficult to solve. I'd recommend it!

I haven't played Art of Murder 2 yet, but looking forward to it.

i meant the first game i just played a demo and i like it but my mouse cursor seemed to b moving a bit slow anyon know of a way to fix it , it was in german but i just wanted to see how it played, i just started playing the demo for the 2nd one and really like it so i will be buying the first one my only worry is the mouse cursor seems bit slow in the first one

Did you turn off your background programs before playing it ? Like antivirus. Did you turn off, or down some of the in game options ? It could also have been a bad download. Or maybe you need to update your video drivers.

Yes! - the first Art of Murder! I didn't have any problems with cursor movement & I found the game altogether a nice surprise as I didn't expect it to be as good as it was! It was quite a long time ago I played Still Life but I didn't recognise any similarities!

Firstly, what was wrong with Still Life? It was one of my favourite games of all time! A bit gory and sad perhaps, even twisted; true, but still a very gripping and well-done game (except for abrupt ending).

The setting of Art of Murder is very similar, in that it is a female FBI agent investigating a serial killer; but that is where the similarity ends. AOM is not nearly as "gory" or sad as Still Life, it does not dwell so much on the actual murders, as that it focuses on the story and gameplay.

I actually found it a very pleasant game to play. The graphics are quite nice, the user interface intuitive and easy to use, and the puzzles weren't too hard. There was just the right amount of tension in the story, to keep you interested, and the story remained interesting, although I did sort of guess "who done it" quite close to the end.

I don't understand how anybody can say that the interface is awkward. Your mouse turns into the cursor you need to use (rather similar to that of TLJ where "look" or "take" is concerned) and you use your PDA like in countless other games.

I also don't understand what a "slow cursor" would mean. (Does your computer comply with the minimum specifications for the game?)I use a gaming mouse that I usually set to considerably faster than a standard mouse, and it moved at the standard speed I normally use, for me. Also, if you find the character's walking speed too slow (I do) you can set her to run by double-clicking. I found her to move sufficiently fast in running mode.

Like posters above have mentioned, it's a point and click game, so you basically just double-click where you want your character, and she runs there. I personally found the control system easy to use.

i think it was due to a bad download it took a long time to get sorted and it was in german , but i found it cheap so i gunno buy it

Art of murder 1 ,I enjoyed very much..Had no problems with game play..I am now playing Art Of Murder 2...No problems at all...Its a real creepy game, murder mystery,detective type story..

i played abit of the art of murder 2 demo very good and i have art of murder 1 shud b coing tomorrow got it for £1 lol

i just got art of murder today , it still has issue of slow mouse cursor and the graphics flicker and therre is no options to turn things down graphics wise
