I've got the original games, is there something about GOG versions that would make them run better under Windows XP?

Yes, the games on GOG are made to run on XP and many on Win7.

I already have them and they run great on my win 7 64 bit system.

I rebought UAKM, TPD, Oversser.

I've got the old hard copies and the GOG updates. It's nice to not have to change your computer configuration to play the older games. GOG is a great help.
