Kalamazoo, MI, May 29, 2012 - Geeta Games, a small independent video game studio, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the release of their first animated adventure game, Lilly Looking Through. What Lilly sees is about to change her life forever.... Help our heroine through a variety of enchanting environments brimming with magic and wonder, as she seeks to rewrite the past, change the present, and unlock the ultimate mystery.
About a month ago Geeta Games released a free playable demo of the game, as well as a teaser trailer. They were blown away by the positive response of the press and public. They launched their Kickstarter project on May 29, 2012 in order bring on a few additional artists to finish the game in half the time. With this additional help they plan on releasing their game in the spring of 2013. They have given themselves just 32 days, until June 30th, to raise the $18,000 they need. A $10 pledge secures a downloadable copy of the finished game. Other rewards for backers include level 3 released early on Labor Day, as well as custom t-shirts, a copy of the soundtrack, and in-game credits. They've also included a stretch goal for the campaign, and if they are able to reach $36,000 they plan on bringing the game to iPad and other tablets as well.
Geeta Games is a small 3 person company consisting of Steve Hoogendyk, Jessica Hoogendyk, and Chris Beazer. The Hoogendyks have a history of working in film animation. Steve’s credits include Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Bolt, and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, while Jessica previously worked on visual effects for 10,000 BC and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Chris Beazer is composing the score for the game. He is a professional musician working mostly in film and video games with Series 9 productions.
The Kickstarter campaign for Lilly Looking Through ends June 30th, 2012. Lilly Looking Through will be available for Mac, PC, and Linux.

Before film, I worked over 8 years in Video Games and worked as a production designer, game designer, and artist on many adventure games including Myst 3:Exile™, RealMyst™, and Uru™: Ages Beyond Myst. On Myst 3:Exile, I was the designer responsible for creating the layout and all the puzzles for the Amateria age . I also created some of the puzzles on J'nanin the "Hub" age. When I was working at Cyan on Uru, I worked on the design team creating puzzles, environments, and ages with some of the original creators of Myst, Rand and Ryan Miller.
