A New Beginning boxed version - bonus DVD?

Hi,

I read somewhere (don't remember where) that the boxed version of A New Beginning contains a bonus DVD, but I have no idea what it's supposed to contain. I've looked on Amazon and there's no mentioning of this.

Can someone who has this bonus answer this question - if I buy a copy of the game that doesn't contain this bonus DVD, what am I missing?

I think it's the music soundtrack

I have the disk version with the box that looks like this.

It says on the box that it includes:

Music Soundtrack CD and Double-sided poster.

I have a vague recollection of the poster, but I haven't had any success in finding the music soundtrack CD.

I'm not very organized, I'm afraid.

EDIT: Now that I look more closely at the box on Amazon, it does NOT have the text that's on my box that talks about the poster and the soundtrack.

It's possible that there are different boxed versions.

That's exactly the same box that I have Becky!

I've just checked - it does have a folded double-sided poster (you'd have to iron the creases out first to use it as a poster! - and I couldn't really hang that up anywhere in my home as I already get enough ribbing for playing games - I dread to think of the comments I'd get if I started hanging up pictures from them as well! ) There is also included an 'Original Soundtrack' CD - actually I think the music is lovely in it's own right - I don't think I appreciated it so much in the game!

The ones sold here had a soundtrack and a poster. The cool thing about the soundtrack was it was made to look like an old LP record.
So I guess it sounds better!

Yes. Mine came with a poster and the "extra" music DVD

Even though that box on Amazon doesn't have the text shown on it like Becky's does, if you look at the other views below the picture of the box and select the last view on the right, it shows the box and all of its contents, including the double-sided poster, the manual and both disks, including the soundtrack CD that looks like an old LP like flotsam mentioned. My box that I got from Interact also has the text on it, and all of the contents of my box look exactly like that last view on Amazon.

The German Game of the Year edition (Spiel des Jahres) that Jenny mentions has a bonus DVD. It contains a "making of"-type movie called "an inconvenient game". Despite the name, I don't think it's available in English.

I have a boxed version of A New Beginning. On the front of the box, it says "Includes: Music soundtrack CD and double-sided poster"

It is the UK version of the game, I think, since this is usually the version we get in Denmark. Lace Mamba seems to be the publisher...

And yes, the bonus dvd looks like an old fashioned record e.g the vinyl ones. Do you remember them, I do.

Some times I play one at my old record player, but then I remember what a hazzle it was to flip the record....to play the flip side... and I'm happy tyhat today we have music cds and music dvds...

I believe that's probably what I read about, as it said bonus DVD, not a soundtrack CD...

You can see a picture of the DVD here, and I think you can read about the contents in the talk bubble on the bottom of this boxshot. I can't read German, but I believe it says something about a 70-minute documentary and a soundtrack... so that's it? No story-expanding material? The only case I encountered story-expanding material existing on a separate bonus DVD is the (infamous) Limbo of the Lost, where the actual intro of the game was included solely as a DVD movie (that could be played in regular DVD players).

Not the case here?
