Adventurezator is an emergent adventure game about creating emergent adventure games

Featuring a pre-made campaign, content creation and sharing, developers now require your boot on their Kickstarter campaign.

SANTA CATARINA, BRAZIL — July 10, 2013 — Pigasus Games, mighty game developer and part-time airborne swine, has lifted the metaphorical curtains on Adventurezator.

While adventure gaming as a genre seems to be doing perfectly fine for itself lately, Adventurezator aims to shake things up a little by scrapping the tried and true mechanics of "click-spamming", "walkthrough-consulting" and even the classic "beating-head-against-keyboard-when-you-need-a-specific-cup-to-solve-the-puzzle-since-the-perfectly-fine-tankard-you-have-somehow-cannot-hold-water".

Brazil-based developer Pigasus is betting that their new "emergent behavior" system will restore power to all the tankards, cups, chalices and goblets in the world. It works like this: all puzzles are designed by combining objects and environments that come with their own rules for interaction. Cups will always be able to hold water. Orcs will always attack humans on sight. By using these tools, the designers can create puzzles that are intuitive and allow for multiple solutions – even some that were not predicted by the creators themselves!

In Adventurezator you will be able to not only play a developer-authored Campaign, but also indulge yourself in some adventure-designing of your own with a simple-but-powerful interface that allows you to create puzzles, set goals, dress up characters and environments and even create your own animated cutscenes and dialogue. The best community-created content will be available for players in what the developers like to call "The Infinite Well of Adventure Games".

To creatively demonstrate the creations that can be spawned by your own creativity, the following trailer (http://youtu.be/inFuInAeBco) was entirely created using the in-game Cutscene creator! Quite creative.

And here is a video depicting some puzzle-creation and some puzzle-solving: http://youtu.be/i3uW9Q6FX3s

As a result of emergent behavior from pairing "indie developer" with "neat ideas", there is a Kickstarter going on for Adventurezator. You can kick it here: http://kck.st/13M3xG5

There’s also a Steam Greenlight page, of course: http://bit.ly/advzGreenlight

Developer Pigasus also wants to show how trendy they are in the internets with their "Mighty Pop Culture Contest of Adventure": the first cool and handsome person to create a Facebook post with the complete list of all pop culture references in the Adventurezator kickstarter videos is going to win a package filled with $200-worth of content in the form of the full games (x6), t-shirt, DVD and pig-themed poster.

About The Adventurezator
The Adventurezator is both game and meta-game, where the players create and share point-and-click adventures. It's a tough beast to put into short words, the shortest way to describe it is Monkey Island (gameplay) meets Little Big Planet (create and share) meets The Sims (look and feel).

When Pigs Fly is the single player campaign that will ship with the Adventurezator upon release. Play the adventures of Edmund, the human-turned-pigman while he tries to become a human again, and his sidekick Zookwinkle the Gnome.

About Pigasus Games

Pigasus Games is an indie game dev, based on Florianópolis, Brazil. They've been developing the Adventurezator since mid-2012, and it's their first game.

Last three days for the Kickstarter campaign and a few more details:

Quote:
August 5, 2013 - Gaming has evolved by leaps and bounds, and yet, the adventure genre clings tenaciously to its roots of pixel-hunting and ridiculous item combinations. Adventurezator: When Pigs Fly aims to change that, uprooting decades of senseless tradition through user-created content and emergent game design.
Imagine an adventure game without rigid scripts or stupidly ludicrous puzzles, but rather, a world driven by millions of possible interactions among objects and characters. An axe, for example, is a "chopper," and any object that is "choppable" is just kindling in the making. Simple, right?
In Adventurezator, from Pigasus Games, there is no fumbling around lost for hours because: you only talked to a character three times instead of four, or you tried cutting the rope with the sword instead of the knife. Yeah...that's just dumb.
BUT, THERE'S MORE!
Adventurezator is throwing the days of repetitious replays out the window. In addition to the main storyline, Sandbox mode gives players the same tools as the developers to create and share their own scenarios, link them together into larger story arcs, and create their own custom cutscenes.
Adventurezator: When Pigs Fly is currently on Kickstarter:

"I'm getting to make not only a game I really want to create, but also a game I really want to play as a gamer," says Project Lead, Fabio 'Petrucio' Stange. "Now, the really terrifying part is that this is the big moment of truth for me – this is THE one project of my life, and will probably have a huge impact on it. This is the chance I’ve always wanted to have, and the game that thirteen year old boy playing SNES always wanted to create."
Oh, and did we mention that Petrucio was formerly a professional poker player? Yeah, we just thought we'd throw that out there.

Happy Gaming!
