Thank you, everyone.
I hope people find the review useful.
I'm sure most Nancy Drew fans will enjoy playing the game, even if it doesn't turn out to be their favorite.

Thanks Jenny, I thought your review summed up the game very well - I agree about the difficulty of the timed puzzles, although I always play ND games at the hard level, and although I managed to battle through some without help, it got very stressful and tedious as well! Let's hope the next ND mystery is more fleshed out in the areas that were a little thin this time smile

That's a terrific review Jenny.
I'm just about to install the game and am now wondering whether I should play in Junior mode for this one if the timed puzzles are a problem.
Do you know if you get more time in Junior mode?
I always find timed things a pesky nuisance. Takes all the enjoyment out of things for me.

Meryl,
I don't know if you get more time in Junior mode.
Maybe Marita would know. After barely squeaking through the time limits in Junior mode, I wasn't interested in replaying in Senior mode.

I hope HerInteractive introduces a "no timer" option in the next game.

Honestly, this game made me consider giving up on Nancy Drews. I'm just tired of the @#&%! timer spoiling puzzles that would otherwise be enjoyable to work through.

I realize I'm somewhat older than the target audience or I'd have given the game a lower score. But I've never enjoyed being rushed, even when I was much younger, and making the timer optional would be so easy.

I didn't see any appreciable difference in the "server area" timed puzzle.
I think the puzzle structures are the main difference between the 2 modes.

Thanks both.
Guess I'll try in senior mode then.
I'm sorry to hear this about the game. I enjoyed Thornton Hall so much and thought "At last they've got the Nancy Drews back on track.
I always compare each to my first game "Treasure in the Royal Tower".
I still think that was brilliant.
