About Mudlarks:

Your name is Winston. You are very much a regular, normal chap - living in London with your girlfriend and holding down a 9 to 5 office job. Among your various hobbies, you are a mudlarker. That is, the practice of combing the shore of the River Thames for historically interesting objects that may have gone underwater hundreds of years ago. One day, you and your co-mudlarker Vincent stumble upon what appears to be a valuable golden locket - and your destiny is changed forever. Two days after the find, Vincent disappears on the shore, leaving only the locket behind…

What follows is an atmospheric dialog and puzzle driven adventure game, bringing together elements of science fiction with a strong supernatural theme as you undertake your quest to find your friend and unravel many secrets along the way. Winston finds himself as an ordinary man in a very extraordinary situation…

I can't get through to the page...well, I can but it loads at a crawl and looks like a white page with blue links all down the side and no images.
It's been so long since I've seen one of those I forget what you call them.

There is a download link but it creeps up, too, when I click on it and eventually just dies.
I tried in Opera - and in IE just to be sure it wasn't my browser causing this.

Later: Okay, I was able to find a couple of sites with a download link...IndieDB and this one ...and they showed up just fine.
The problem for me seems to be gamejolt.
Any chance you could provide another download site?

I've just completed Mudlarks and really enjoyed it.

The storyline, although a little random in places was engaging. I particularly liked the photographic backgrounds which added to the atmosphere along with Kevin MacLeod's haunting music. The animations were a bit rough (basically a bunch of photo's put together), but their quirky nature added to the whole style of the game. Initially the puzzles seemed rather hard, although once I'd cleared the early section which relied on performing a sequence of actions and dialog in a particular order, the game seemed to open up a bit more and was actually easier. There was only one sound based puzzle which was very difficult, I had to go to an alternative web site to get clues on how to solve it.

I hope Shaun continues developing adventures like this, with a bit of voice over and a tidy around the edges this could very easily be a commercial game.
