Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 another question - 03/06/15 04:19 PM

I just started playing BOUT2 recently. I have progressed to the start of the drunken Nate scene, when I remembered that I had never played the Critter Chronicles. I got Critter Chronicles when it first came out, but when I found out that Wilbur wasn't in it, I was so disappointed that I left it after playing only a few minutes. It's still installed, but I never went back and played any more of it.

Would I get a better understanding of what's happening in BOUT2 if I played the Critter Chronicles before continuing with BOUT2?

I've moved your post over to Adventure Game Discussions. Hopefully you will get some replies here from other GameBoomers who have played both Book of Unwritten Tales and Critter Chronicles. wave

Reg,

No - you don't need to know the story of Critter Chronicles to do BOUT2. It is based on how Nate and Critter met - and also Mary. More like a prequel. Enjoy the game.

Although I've played both, MaG is right in that you definitely don't need Critter Chronicles to thoroughly enjoy BOUT 2.

You may not need to play Critter Chronicles to play BOUT 2 but you should play it. It's better than BOUT (IMO).

Thanks, everybody. I've already pushed on with BOUT2, got past the drunken Nate scene, and have just gotten Wilbur into the Inn in the lower town. I'll tackle the Critter Chronicles after I finish BOUT2.
