Am nearly finished this so will get a review up hopefully by the wee weekend, but as a heads up, if you like puzzle games, it may well be one for you.

Where's Colpet?
This sounds like something she would enjoy, and unlike myself, she doesn't seem to have a problem with motion sickness with realtime 3D movement.

I see GOG has Dream.

I'm looking into this now. I'll probably buy it from GOG.

I wish I did a little more reading on this game - I just started it and I can't get into it at all!! It uses WASD keyboard controls - no mouse options - you can re-bind the keys to what you like better - but it's still keyboard. The 360 spinning is giving me a major headache - especially while holding the mouse with one hand and the other hand stretched over a keyboard while trying to navigate - and so far - I haven't been anywhere that WASN'T a MAZE !

Only $17.00 on GOG - so not much of a loss. frown

Sorry for the sour note folks - but I thought we got past all the keyboard stuff. That's my biggest gripe with this game. smashpc

Guess I'm tired cry

I bought the game, but my paypal payment didn't get registered with GOG, so I'm still waiting to play it. I knew about the keyboard but held out hope that I could reprogram the mouse.

Yes Colpet, you can program your mouse. wave

I was a keyboard ninja back in the 80's on Mainframes and Windows infancy. There's NO reason for using it in Adventure Gaming today - in my opinion. Re-programming for mouse would be great and save the keyboard stuff for the Unreal Tournament set.

Right now I just need put this game on back burner - way back. crazy

Sureshot all you need is a mouse that is programmable. I think most all games that use the UDK engine can be used with a programmable mouse. I normally assign the mouse wheel for the "W" key but in this game that scrolls the Inventory so I programmed the mouse to the "Right Click" button and thats all you need to do.

Thank you GreyFuss - I'll need to get a programmable mouse for this PC I am using. Sorry for my grumpiness / impatience - comes with age and racking up a lot of mileage.... lol

Re: Dream game - 08/26/15 07:50 PM

All my mice have been by Logitech and they make it very easy to program with their Mouse Control Panel. There are other commands for this game like crouch (Ctrl) and jump (Space) that you can assign mouse buttons to (depending on how many buttons your mouse will have) but I don't bother much with them as I didn't have to use them that much. By moving your mouse around for direction and holding the Right Mouse button to walk was plenty enough for this mouse driven boy.

Good advice GreyFuss, we like the Logitech equipment here too - Cams, Keyboards, and Mice etc. I just need to hook up a programmable mouse to this PC.

My feeling is that adventure games must be mouse controlled not keyboard. Hard enough to maneuver around - take notes - and sip a drink and/or have a bowl of munchies handy while playing and not having to orient one hand on the keyboard too. lol

I will get the mouse as suggested and give the game another chance. thumbsup

Re: Dream game - 08/28/15 01:30 PM

I tried out the game last night. To my delight, my mouse's middle button was still programmed from Roon Sehv, and I was able to use it to move. Then I saw Grefuss's post. Should I reprogram the right button for 'W'?
