Syracuse, New York - (January 20, 2016) - Independent developer Infamous Quests - the studio behind the hit adventure game Quest for Infamy - is thrilled to announce today that their upcoming fantasy point-and-click adventure game Order of the Thorne: The King’s Challenge will release on January 26, 2016 for Windows PC.

As a young bard by the name of Finn, players must venture forth into the Faerie Kingdom with nothing more but their wits and magic lute to aid them as they go in search for the missing Queen. As this is an annual challenge hosted by the King of Faerie Kingdom, Finn is not alone in his quest; the King has also summoned the bravest heroes of all the kingdoms in Uir to take up the challenge of finding his beloved Queen. Will Finn out-smart the King and the other challengers in his quest to rescue the Queen?

Order of the Thorne: The King’s Challenge is a classic fairy tale style game, with beautiful hand-drawn backgrounds and retro 2D pixel art. The game also features a fully orchestrated soundtrack and over thirty voiced characters, with a simple point-and-click interface that creates an immersive magical world with a captivating story. The King’s Challenge is the first in an anthology series of games revolving around the Order of the Thorne and the world of Uir.

Order of the Thorne: The King’s Challenge will be available for purchase on Steam, GoG, Humble, and the Infamous Quests Online Store on January 26, 2016.

Hi Mad, Broomie here from the Infamous Quests team. Sorry you haven't got your boxed copy yet. Steven has all the boxes made and ready to send out but due to a new member of the family making his appearance in December, Steven has been pre-occupied with not only getting Order of the Thorne ready for release but also being a new father. Come February, all boxes should start being distributed to all backers. I do apologize that it's taken longer than expected to do this but we hope to get these out to you very soon!

As for our new game, Order of the Thorne - The King's Challenge, I just want to thank you for sharing it here and hope you enjoy as it's certainly inspired by adventure games we loved playing when we were younger but we hope to provide a new and unique experience with the game too!

Some members may remember a loooong thread on the "Darkside" Board regarding my never having received the boxed copy of Quest for Infamy for which I Kickstarter pledged many, many moons ago and the awful problems I had contacting anyone about it AND the myriad reasons I was given for the prolongued delay when I eventually did receive any responses.

Well earlier in this thread I was once again told by Infamous Quests people that my boxed copy was to be posted out to me within a few days and once again it has failed to arrive.
And once again, when I emailed the two folks who posted here to ask why, my email has been returned as "undeliverable".

I'm sorry to hear that, Mad.
I'll refrain from guessing about why you haven't received your game yet, but I certainly wouldn't recommend anyone pledge for physical items on any of their future Kickstarters.
