DotEmu is closing its download shop.
You have until June 1 this year to download any games you bought from them.

Here is their official message:

DotEmu was one of very few DRM-free game shops on the Internet. They cite
Quote:
more and more companies that sell games on the online market
and too much competition as the reason they're closing. They offered a few adventure games I couldn't find for sale DRM-free elsewhere, like A Vampyre Story and Maupiti Island. However they haven't offered a new adventure game for years now.

They also say
Quote:
On the other side, it’s been now a few years that we’re focusing on the development/publishing of console and mobile games instead of distribution.

Maybe that explains why they've put so little effort into getting new adventure games.
I'm still sorry to see them go.

That's a shame. Thanks for the headsup.

I've never purchased from them but have browsed their site and considered it. It is sad to see another site closing down.

Thanks.

You might consider selling at fireflowergames.com

Yes, we're in the process of gathering the data. Fireflower seems great for multitude of reasons, one of them being that most games look like hand picked unknown gems. I mean, where else would you notice a HD remake of Speedball 2 smile
