Hey guys. Happy new year to everyone on these forums. I have been a long time lurker but I don't believe I have posted before so hello to everyone!
I also wanted to announce that I am delighted to reveal the first episode of the Adventure Games Podcast which I have just started. In every episode I will speak to an adventure game developer to give them a place to talk about their games and hopefully help them reach a larger audience. I will also talk about the latest adventure game news and reviews.
In episode 1 I speak with Francisco “Grundislav” Gonzalez where we go over his career and we go behind the scenes on his freeware Ben Jordan series as well as his three commercial titles, a Golden Wake, Shardlight and Lamplight City. We find out:
- The meaning of the name Grundislav
- What the Ben Jordan series was originally supposed to be.
- What he would change if he remade A Golden Wake
- Why he named the game Shardlight
- Why he decided to make the detective game Lamplight City where it’s ok to fail
Plus much more! I also discuss 2018’s best reviewed adventure games and I give my thoughts about Lamplight City.
