Thank you, Ana. I have just finished the demo, and enjoyed it very much. I am very tempted to buy my first ever full priced CE here, if only to get the free key ring LOL!

Thanks, Ana. I played a few minutes of the demo and there was a response to my trying to pick up a crowbar that really amused me - the developers have a sense of humor!

I finished the demo, and it was cut off short before 60 minutes - I liked it tho
ah well, I'm going to buy it because of the free downloadable book - loving to have something new for my Kindle
I didn't see the crowbar with the joke attached. Maybe I'll find it when I go back

I bought it, and am enjoying it; BUT - - -
It has crashed or frozen several times. The good news is that when you restart, it resumes correctly (until the next crash, that is.)
And I want my crowbar back!

Tally Ho, I think there will have to be an update to this game before too long, as I see many people with the crash/freeze problem.
I felt a terrible sense of finality when the crowbar, well, you know....

Anyway, I received an email notice that I am getting a free keychain. It should arrive in 4-6 weeks. I already have a BF keychain so will this one be different? Merry Christmas Ana and "Boobie"!

Whether or not this time the Big Fish keychain will be different will depend on what you already have. I have a Big Fish detective keychain that I got a few years ago - I believe the one they were giving away this week was the standard keychain.

An update for this game has been released:
We've received an updated version of Dark Mysteries: The Soul Keeper Collector's Edition.
This new version addresses crash and performance issues that some players were experiencing.
You can get the newest version by uninstalling and reinstalling your game.

I played the game; enduring at least 40 crashes, until I finished it.
It really is one of the better IHOG selections, with a substantial bonus game, good storyline, good music, great artwork, and decent (read: acceptable)voice acting. It's too bad the team worked so very hard, only to have the underlying programming produce crashing results for many players. It was interesting that, when a crash occurred, everything resumed on restart, as if nothing happened. That's how I was able to make it through.
I still recommend this game, especially now that they (supposedly) have fixed it.

Great game. No problems. Nice long game with lots of locations to explore. Also lots of running around, but navigation is quick and Hint function will tell you where to go next if you get stuck. However, if you're someone who prefers few HO scenes, this game may not be your cup of tea. Lots of HO scenes. Got this in the BO/GO sale and delighted to get such a good game for half the price.
