Apothecarium: The Renaissance of Evil - New IHOG on Big Fish - 07/13/13 02:22 PM
You can download
Apothecarium: The Renaissance of Evil here.
During the Middle Ages a terrifying, mysterious disease raged across Italy. It killed thousands of people, and whole towns and villages perished together, swallowed whole by this ravaging and perilous plague. Everywhere the disease touched, death followed, and the masses were consumed in hoards. There were legends of a mythical town where the secret to defeating the disease was hidden—a town by the name of Apothecarium, built by Italy's foremost scientists. The brightest minds in the country came here to conduct research and collaborate with other scientists—engineers, mathematicians, artists, sculptors, writers, and even alchemists. Survivors thrived here until a mysterious discovery fell into the wrong hands, and now it’s up to you to free the survivors from the clutches of an insane and cold-blooded lunatic!

This is a very big download for a regularly priced game and I have heard good things about this game. I'll be interested to hear what others have to say about it.

Looks like a bargain. Definitely a lot of CE bells and whistles, including morphing objects in HO scenes. Will be picking up as soon as my Game Club Credit is available.

This looks like a bargain to me too, and I will probably use a punchcard coupon to pick it up.
By the way, the developer is Space Monkey Games, creators of Voodoo Chronicles: The First Sign and Sister's Secrecy: Arcanum Bloodlines.

Just finished this excellent game, not too many HOs and the HOs were different and fun to play, fairly easy to spot most of the time, good puzzles, good story, great graphics and since it is a Standard game that could have been sold as a CE, I am giving this game a 5.2 stars out of 5.
And if I understood the ending right, there could be a sequel? Oh I really hope so.
Most likely another game on my Top 20 List for the year.

Just finished this game. A good long game with lots of interesting puzzles - for sure this could have been a C.E. IMO

Not more to say that hasn't already been said. Could have been a CE, even without a bonus game. Something for everyone. Particularly like the option of Match 3 in lieu of completing HO scenes. Used this feature a few times when I lost patience trying to find morphing objects. Not that it's that difficult. Just wanted to move forward. Not fond of the tanagram puzzles; but I gave it my best until I could skip.
Highly recommend. And if you can use a punch card code like I did, you'll be especially pleased.
