Thanks Ana and Marian. I have been waiting the SE of this game and here it is. Have bought it with a coupon. I really enjoyed the last one but, of course these are by ERS games!

Am at the part in the village, (after the fish scales), trying to sharpen the knife. At first outlines are shown to know where to go, then they disappear and nothing can be done. Have gone to BF's forum and at least two other people are having the same problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I do not see anything about a knife in the WT, are you sure it's the correct game? Is the item called something else?

It's in Chapter I (I believe). There is a fish on the shelf in the sitting room. After the scales are replaced, there is a hidden object scene in a Mayan village. On the right of the scene on a rock is a knife that needs to be sharpened. As I had said, other people can't figure this out either, or maybe it's a glitch? Thanks.

THe walkthrough shows the knife is to be used in the teepee here.

Sorry, I didn't phrase my question correctly. I know the tent needs to be cut by the knife. However, it first has to be sharpened. When you start out sharpening the knife with the tool, outlines are shown where to use the tool. After awhile, the outlines disappear and nothing else can be done. No more sharpening, and you can't take the knife.

Just for anybody who has been having this problem, I went back into the game using a new profile. This time I was able to pick up the knife. I also posted on BF forum to, hopefully, help others.

I'm playing this game at the moment and had no problem sharpening the knife.

The "indicators" did disappear for me, temporarily, but then they came back
