Mystery Legends - 07/26/15 09:45 PM

I recently re-discovered the two "Mystery Legends" games in my Big Fish Library so I couldn't resist a replay of them yes

I finished "Beauty and the Beast" yesterday and now am a good way into "The Phantom of the Opera" happydance

They are both games I really like and it's such a shame there weren't any more in the series frown

I agree - I thought they were both very good games and I would have liked to see the series continue. wave

Thanks to your comment, Mad, I bought "Phantom." Best game I've played in a while. I had sort of given up on Big Fish.

Glad you found it, Reenie - it's a very nice game. smile

That's great Reenie !! happydance

I'm looking at re-playing others now, too, from my library at Big Fish.

But sorting out the real "goodies" from the huge assortment in there is not an insignificant quest lol

Yes, Mad. Lots of unworthy stuff there, IMHO. smirk But I have been keeping my own list of "Best of" HOG/adventure games, annotated as to why I liked or disliked it. It has allowed me to go back and reload games that were especially good, a couple of years later, and replay them. I enjoy that. I was so excited to watch the evolution of simple HOGs (which I detest) into mixed genre of adventure, puzzle-solving, character development and genuine story line. Out of the hundred+ games I have played from that site, two dozen stand out as replay-worthy.

How I wish I'd been that methodical myself, Reenie yes

I'm finding it rather brain draining at this late date, trying to remember the best ones in my Big Fish Hoard lol

Correction: I counted up the games I've played from Big Fish and it is over 250.

Yep. Me, too. frown I know I played more of their games than this, but started the tally after some time, and in the beginning, my comments were not very descriptive or helpful later.

I just found another "Mystery Legends" game in my Big Fish Library - which I'd forgotten all about !!

"Mystery Legends : Sleepy Hollow".

So I'll be downloading that again for a re-play shortly laugh

Yes, I have played that one. I rated it as, "Not an A-level game." Still, if it is even close to as good as the other two in the series, it probably is better than many of the other BF games. lol Have you played many of the Dark Dimensions games. I played "City of Fog" and liked it, and there are four more in that series.

Not an A-Level game ?? whistle
Maybe that's why I'd forgotten about it !!
But yes, I'm pretty sure I will have played worse so I'll still give it a go laugh

I haven't tried any from the "Dark Dimension" series. Perhaps something to keep in mind for the future then. Thanks smile

My recollection of Sleepy Hollow is that it is very well done and atmospheric but that it is mostly HOG scenes, being as it was an earlier offering.

The same developer, Playpond, also did Penny Dreadfuls: Sweeney Todd, which is definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. wave

Thanks, Marian thumbsup

[Yes, I've played the Sweeney Todd game and liked it grin]

I thought Sweeney was way too easy and too short, but then, sometimes that is just what you want at the moment. wink

Yes. Some days one might feel like a fully "brain thrashing" play whilst on others a more relaxed session is sought.

And a good thing about Big Fish is that they offer plenty of choice in both categories !! bravo
