Echoes of the Past

I have all 6 games. The first 4 on disc which ran great. The 5th and 6th are BF downloads. The 5th one had a glitch and I had to start the game over and replay the last few chapters following the guide so as not to run into the glitch again. Just tried the 6th game and I'm pretty sure I am not seeing the whole opening scene but okay, I click on play and it brings up the gameplay options regular, advanced (or whatever they call it) and something else. I click on regular and get kicked back to my desktop, so I try advanced, same thing. Have uninstalled the game, then had to sign out and back in before I was able to redownload which I am currently doing. I sure hope this solves the issue. Very aggravating!

I hope it does. If you are still having problems, I can always send this thread over to Glitches. And, of course, you should write to Big Fish about it.

It didn't help. I guess I'll contact Big Fish but I don't hold out much hope. It is my experience that they just give all the same standard things to try and then give you a game coupon. A game coupon is nice but it does not solve the problem of wanting to play the particular game you are having a problem with. I am not much good at troubleshooting. Anything after uninstall and reinstall is usually too much for me to handle!

It seems I had this same problem recently with some game. Wish I could remember what game so I could remember how I solved it.

Oh, actually, it was Game 5 of this series that would not start for me unless I restarted my computer and/or went into the game first before doing anything else on my computer after booting up. I guess I'll try a restart first.

I feel your pain oldbroad. I have 2 games now which came out this month and both have glitches in them . I am not alone- there are many postings on BG forums about the same problems I am having, Very unusual that--shows No One at the devs or upper BF read the complaints.. (and in 1 of the games..Sable Maze:Sinister Knowledge) the glitch not only was in the CE BUT also in the SE!!(on win7 thru win10) so there are many of us not happy with that. And the other game Haunted Hotel: silent water also has problems that are not addressed. I'm not getting another game from BF until I see if updates will be done for those 2 games. I have been saving my credits and have enough for the CE of the new MCF (which usually I get pronto when comes out) but not going to download until after it has been out for a while just to make sure it is not glitchy. BTW on the 2 games mentioned above I did download and play the demos before buying and they were fine. The problems come further along in the game. I have a feeling though, if it was one of the casino games if there was a problem it would get addressed quickly. Just my thoughts.

Well, I told BF all that I did - uninstall/reinstall, delete profile and create new one, updated my video drivers (at least I think that's what I updated), and restarted my computer (actually I forgot to tell them that one). They apologized that the game doesn't seem to work in my system and gave me a coupon code for a free game. They did not attempt to have me try anything else (not that I am comfortable doing much else). Also, don't they ask for Dr Felix reports anymore?

I'm happy for the coupon but really hope to figure out how to play this game at some point. I thought it was a pretty good series.

I hope you get your games fixed gamenut. I already purchased that Haunted Hotel game but I am very far behind in games and probably won't be playing it for a good long while.

I wish we could figure out how to get the game running. And I have been asked for a Dr. Felix report, not too long ago.

I wasn't asked for one either time with these 2 Echoes of the Past games and I didn't send one because I couldn't find how to do it and don't remember how to do it.

I'll have to look back at my glitches thread on the other game and see what help ideas I was given.

I have bought and played quite a few games from Big Fish, usually with no problems at all. Lately, though, I also have begun to experience more problems with game play. At least four times this year, I could not finish a game because of a bug in it. Yes, they are quick to send you a Coupon for another game, and that is good, but I, too, feel disappointed when I've worked my way halfway through a game, am really into it, and then it won't allow me to continue. Just had that happen this week with Parallels Cross. The game itself is unusual and quite intriguing, not full of HOG scenes, etc. But it came to a screeching halt midway. (NB: If you buy this game, do not play it on "Expert" level (no hints, no skips), because there is a bug-ridden puzzle halfway through that you cannot complete, and you will not be able to Skip and go on with the game.)

Well, almost 2 years later and tonight when I tried the game, it worked! (I have been trying it every now and then.) I hope it still works tomorrow and for however long it takes me to finish it. I don't know what changed to make it all of a sudden work. This is Echoes of the Past: Wolf Healer that I'm talking about.

Got all the way near the end and the game crashed to the desktop. Fortunately, I was able to find a solution on Big Fish from a member (not a moderator) that worked for me. Now I just have to complete the bonus game.

Glad you managed to get through the main game!

Finally finished it. The bonus game was the hardest part of the game. I was stuck on a slider puzzle for 3 days and when I finished it and completed the rest of the game, it crashed just before showing me the end video sequence. It was fine though when I went back in the game and I was able to see the ending.

After all that trouble, I really liked the earlier games in the series better than the last couple. Go figure!!
