Repetitive Puzzles - 02/07/17 10:33 PM

Hi, everyone!

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed lately that a lot of the puzzles are repetitive? For instance, you solve one puzzle and, before you have the chance to pat yourself on the back, the same puzzle pops up again, only a little harder. You solve that one and the same puzzle pops up again, only harder. At this point, after screaming "enough is enough already" at my computer, I usually hit the "Skip" button because they always seem to repeat the puzzles that I hate lol . Is it possible that the developers have actually run out of ideas for new puzzles?

I would think that it is becoming increasingly difficult to come up with original puzzles at this point.

I don't care for the puzzles that you have to repeat more than once - after solving the first time, I am ready to move on. wave

Hi, Marian!

I don't mind puzzles that are found in most other games, but there seems to be a growing trend of increasing the difficulty of the same puzzle 2 or 3 times in a row. I just wish that some developer would come up with a good old fashion murder mystery because I'm beginning to tire of rescuing some relative from a band of characters with glowing red or yellow eyes <sigh>. We must be due for a new "Cadenza" game lol !

It depends on the puzzle, but usually the "original" puzzles aren't something I want to do more than once in a game.

However I'd be happy with more pipe rotation puzzles.

Hi, Jenny!

There are some puzzles I don't even want to solve once, let alone 2 or 3 times in a row with increasing degrees of difficulty. I also enjoy rotating the pipes, but my favorites are piecing pictures back together (particularly if 4 are scrambled) and math calculations to come up with the combination to a safe. At one time, I was horrible at untangling the ropes but, with so much practice, I've finally got that one mastered lol ! Sliders are another story because I'm hopeless at them.

I like pipe rotation puzzles, too. Sliders and I don't get along!

I like the pipes too and the untangling of the ropes.. can't do sliders or the ones where you have to get all the lights on.

Hi, Marian!

The slider puzzle is not my friend grin !

Hi, Winfrey!

How could I have forgotten the lights, which are right up there with the sliders lol ! If ever I solve them, it's strictly a fluke!

I like pipes and can usually get to grips with most sliders but am absolutely pathetic at untangling ropes redface

There has to be a "formula" somewhere for dealing with them - but I've not yet found it !! lol

The untangling wires/ropes thing: the only advice I have is to start pulling them and extending them closer to the edges of the picture. I start from that point and eventually a method of dealing with it starts to present itself. lol

Yes, Marian. That is what I usually start off doing - but I hardly ever successfully make it to the end !! rolleyes

[ This is one of those puzzles where I admit I will lose patience and hit the "Skip" button shame ]

Cheers.

Hi, Mad!

I do the same as Marian. I pull the ropes as far toward the edges as possible and then start untangling. If you work on the ropes one section at time, it will give you a better picture of which ropes to move where. I always have and always will hate sliders lol !
