family, if you have 7 games that give you trouble, maybe you need to see if it's your computer. I've played an awful lot of BF games and very rarely had an issue. They may be thinking you are looking for free game codes if you write them all the time. Otherwise, I really don't know why they aren't answering because they are very responsive.

Re: big fish customer service people - 02/15/18 05:07 AM

they are not saving my progress.

Re: big fish customer service people - 02/15/18 03:03 PM

Just a thought. Some games give you the choice to continue or restart. If you choose restart, you will begin a new game and your progress will not be saved. I got caught by this once, not paying attention to the choices.

they delete my help messages.

Re: big fish customer service people - 02/16/18 05:45 AM

family, that is a very unfair statement. You have no proof to make such a statement against them. They do not delete messages.

Hello Family

If your messages aren't getting through/being saved and you can't get your game progress saved, and this is happening multiple times, it does sound as though the computer is misbehaving. Have you tried one of your old games which you played successfully and KNOW it always saved your progress?

I know BFG customer service seems to have been a bit slow recently but they have a reputation they can't afford to lose and they always seem to act honorably.

I do hope you can get this resolved soon. Must be very frustrating.

Comcast email was down all over the US yesterday. Please refrain from making inflammatory statements against Big Fish or anyone else without definitive proof. It is one thing for you to state a personal opinion about something and another to state something as fact.

Bluebeard's Castle: Son of the Heartless is a more demanding game than most casual games, way more than the listed system requirements suggest. I had to run it on my desktop because it was extremely slow on my laptop, with 10 or 15 second delay after a click. I think it requires a faster processor -- faster than what is many laptops. It ran considerably better on the desktop even though the laptop is about the same age and has a discrete video card.

I've suggested running as Administrator to correct save problems numerous times in Glitches. It's nothing specific to those games you mentioned and may happen with adventure games as well as casual games.

When a game doesn't want to save, running as Administrator is the first thing to try.

If you need specific step-by-step instructions every time you run as Administrator, print out the instructions Big Fish sent you and keep them by your computer.

That way you won't have to wait for a reply every time you have problems saving.

You can either right-click the game shortcut and choose "Run As Administrator" every time you start the game, or you can edit the Compatibility tab in the game shortcut so the game automatically Runs the game as Administrator every time you run it.

family, I never once said or implied you were scamming. I said " They may be thinking you are looking for free game codes if you write them all the time". No where in there does it say that is what you doing.

Both of these issues would not have arisen had you tried the demo before buying. Since you appear to be having more issues than most, rather than just purchasing games and wanting refunds, you should be downloading the trial and playing and purchasing the game only if it is working perfectly.

Re: big fish customer service people - 02/19/18 05:16 PM

As far as I can tell, Big Fish doesn't even sell Blood Oath any more.
When did you buy it?

I bought Blood Oath back in 2011. It has a resolution of 1024x768 -- not a high resolution and not a widescreen resolution. I wouldn't be surprised if it appears to you to have blurry graphics compared to modern games. It looks blurry on my computer too, but that's normal when you display a game that uses 1024x768 resolution on a widescreen monitor. If you want it not to look blurry, use a monitor with native 1024x768 resolution.

You can't expect Big Fish to refund or issue credit on a game you bought years ago. If something isn't working, you need to let them know right away.

Re: big fish customer service people - 02/19/18 10:23 PM

On top of anything else, do Big Fish officially state anywhere that if a game you buy from them doesn't work on your computer they will give you a code replacement ??

If they don't, how can you say they "owe" you codes ??

Just because a game doesn't work well on your computer doesn't mean it won't work on everyone else's crazy

Re: big fish customer service people - 03/08/18 05:24 PM

Seems to me that if you have a problem with a game you bought at Sam's Club, you should take it back to Sam's Club. If it was not downloaded from Big Fish, I don't think it's really their problem. They aren't obligated to issue you a coupon code for a game you didn't download from their site. There's no way for them to know if the problem is with the game or with your computer.

Re: big fish customer service people - 03/08/18 05:44 PM

the computer i brought at sam's club, the guides were not working , so one of the customer service people rerouted my problem to big fish headquarters.

Re: big fish customer service people - 03/08/18 06:29 PM

To be honest family, your complaints are confusing. It's not surprising that you're not getting the responses you expect. It wasn't clear that you were talking about a computer you bought at Sam's Club since you started out complaining about games not working. I hope there's someone among your family or friends who can help you sort through these problems and help you with better communication. I've been a Big Fish member for many years, have bought literally hundreds of games, and have never had as many problems as you seem to have. Fact is, wherever you bought your computer, if it doesn't support the games it's not the fault of Big Fish. When you have trouble with a downloaded game, sending a Dr. Felix will help Big Fish customer service determine if the problem is with the game or your computer. People on Gameboomers can make suggestions, but can't fix your problems. Big Fish has a process in place to address problems and it works quite well. But if you have the attitude that they don't care and are ripping you off, that's your problem. Just my two cents.
