Metro 2033 and Last Light - 05/14/13 07:43 PM

Metro Last Light has been released. Has anyone played the 2033? I would like opinions about the first game. Is it worth playing? I am considering buying it.

mcc, I'm building a new computer and I got a free download of Last Light with my Superclocked GTX 660Ti. Hopefully I can check it out in a couple of weeks.

No, I haven't. I'm looking forward to getting into Last Light a little bit although with gardening season upon me, I won't have time to get into any serious gaming for some time.

I decided to try Metro 2033, bought in Amazon for $ 12.60. It plays in Vista and I hope in W7.

I have played only for a while, I have been abnormally busy, and for what I have seen it is very good and does not look "old", it plays well in W7 and accepts controller directly.

And I finally got Metro Last Light downloaded yesterday and have played a bit. Looks to be quite good so far! The abnormally busy thing is going to keep me from spending much time doing any gaming though.

Yes, abnormally busy seems to be the norm right now rotfl

So glad you both got to play for a second so we have a little feedback. thanks

Well, it's been pouring rain here off and on since late yesterday afternoon, so it looks like I can get in a little more Metro Last Light. I played more of it last night and if it's a good sign that I can't wait to get back into it, then it's a pretty good game!

That is a good sign Drac bravo

Is the rain good for the tomatoes?

Re: Metro 2033 and Last Light - 05/28/13 06:45 PM

Yes, the rain is good for the tomatoes since we just got them mulched with straw. But only up to a point! It can stop now!

Oh well!
Tomatoes are not what is taking all my time but every spring I plant a few tomatoes in my backyard, now we have rain and rain that would be good IF we had also heat but after a few days of real spring we are having cold weather again frown

Well, it was perfect tomato weather today... rainy, very hot and very humid. Yuck. Luckily it was also perfect Metro Last Light gaming weather! Shucks, but I'm stuck at a part where I have to kill about a gazillion monsters before they come to get me on a raft across some gross water in the Metro. Even the 4-chamber shotgun isn't enough - there are too many of them! Loving this game.

Here's what happening with Last Light... I can't stay out of it! I am absolutely loving this game. It's been a long time since I found a game keeping me up playing til past 1:00 am and I had no idea it was that late. I think I'm getting close to the end and I don't want for this game to end!

If Metro 2033 was even close to this good, I need to go find it.

Re: Metro 2033 and Last Light - 06/14/13 02:46 PM

I'm heading to Steam today to get Metro 2033. I was so sorry when Last Light ended, I started a new game! Do make sure your computer can handle it... The recommended system requirements are:

Windows: Vista, 7 or 8
CPU: 2.6 GHz Quad Core e.g. Intel Core i5
RAM: 4GB
Hard Disc Space: 7.5 GB
Direct X: 11
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GTX 580/660 Ti (or AMD equivalent e.g. 7870) or higher

The minimum system requirements are much lower, but you would have to set the graphics way down to play it.
