Beyond Divinity

Whilst this game is not the calibre of Divine Divinity, I did quite enjoy it and am thinking of giving it another go

However, even though I've played it twice, I could never reach the end because I could never beat that witch in the last chapter.
[I never ended up with the correct magic to see her off !! ]

I know it's a very long shot - but could someone who did beat her maybe tell me how ??

Is it down to character creation

Mad, I started but never finished it.
