S.T.A.L.K.E.R. CoP

I have started this new game which looks like something I really want to play. However, I got a used version with only the CD - no manual. There is a manual included in the CD, but it is in French. I am stumbling around trying to find out how to do stuff. Walking is the usual WASD keys, but I can't put down the gun or I'll lose it. There are other things, too. Does anyone know where I can get some info on ordinary navigation in English? Has anyone played this game? Did you enjoy it? I appreciate Gameboomer friends as always!
