Witcher 2 kayran

Witcher 2 kayran - 02/16/17 02:21 AM

Well, here I am again, unable to get even ONE shot against this thing.

Sile is on the bank shouting to use Yrden. Yes, yes, did that. It didn't help. I used the Kayran trap, which did NOTHING. I'm playing this on Easy, but still...three whacks and I'm dead. Got the potion - check. Used Swallow. Check. Used and oil - check. The trouble is, I can't even jump around to avoid the thing. It gets me no matter where I am.

Is there a GOD mode for this game? Because this is the third time I've tried to play this game, and I can't get past this point. And this, after playing Witcher 3 to level 53 just two days ago.

This seems ridiculously difficult for so early in the game, and there's no other quests in my log, so this is it.

Googling showed me a few places where you can get god mode. You could always use god mode for this one part, just so you could get on with the game. It would be a shame to miss out on the rest of the game because of this.

Thanks. I was wondering if anyone here had used one, since I know nothing about modding this game.

...finally beat it.

Now I have a bug, though. I'm supposed to follow Zoltan, but he isn't going anywhere...I seem to have rotten luck with this game.

edit: Wow. My computer absolutely hates this game. Crashing, freezing, black screens, and the controls are horribly sluggish -- I don't recall ever having this much trouble with a game before.

Witcher 2 was an odd segue into the next game. You go from a great introduction to the Witcher game universe with the first game to one with mediocre game mechanics, glitches and quest lines that didn't always meet up in a logical fashion to the awesomeness of Witcher 3. Honestly, I never finished W2, because the combat mechanics p#&@$ me off so much. My guess is that the second game was done during some staff transitions at CD Projekt Red and they contracted the development out to less experienced developers just to keep on gamer radar during that time period...

It does seem decidedly less polished in many ways -- especially coming right after the near-perfection of Witcher 3. If it weren't for the actual presence of Geralt and Co. I would think I was playing in an alternate game universe, one in which an ersatz Geralt is a complete klutz who failed Witcher school.

EDIT: Ah. Phooey. I'm bored. I think my chance of enjoying this game vanished the moment I fired up Witcher 3. Too bad. I think I paid full price for this one.
