Anyway, I hope this doesn't end the franchise. I've loved all of the Fallout games since the first one, and hope to be playing fallout 10 someday. I mean, sneaking through a blasted, ruined city with an arsenal of cool weapons, zillions of places to explore, and endless level-ups. Killing supermutants with a teddy bear...what's not to love?
Yup, that junk shooter while heavy as a son of a gun, can sure be fun.
All this talk about Fallout made me start a new game of F4. The varied exploration is awesome and the NPC's, while somewhat repetitive when you run by the same ones more than once, can be entertaining as can the companions. I just picked up that super mutant Strong as a companion again. I still laugh out loud at some of his random comments, "Me getting hungry, need
someone to eat."
Two things that I've never been a big fan of, even from the original iterations of Fallout are certain aspects of the character development tree and the inventory control. Throwing those uh, "features" as they stand into an MMO that's populated with nothing but basic foes, repetitive bosses and what seem to amount to an abundance of "scavenger hunt" style quests is definitely a recipe for failure. How shallow did they think the average gamer is to remove everything that was good about F3, FLV and F4?
