Good moaning ever body. wave

Rejoice, Rejoice!! I have been to the meeting and I'm back home. I had to address all the participants for a few minutes, and then I was ok to leave, so by 7:25 I was done. I went go Walmart and then back home to finish my coffee. bravo

It is extremely foggy outside again today, but in the mid 40s, and supposed to climb to 69 later on. woot

I have to be at work @ 5:00 in the morning, and all I wanna do today is go head hunting for a while. We've had a little rain, but not enough to wash anything up, so I'll have to dig for them. razz

First the coffee. grin

I hope everyone has a super Sunday. yay

Re: Sunday's Rejoicing Diner - 01/27/13 05:18 PM

Super Sunday ya'll puppy

Me and my achy body are up and sipping coffee. Little Cully came out of his dad's room a bit ago and is happily playing Kirby on the Wii while his Dad and the Per are still asleep.

Hubby and I will see Macbeth today..."out darned spot, out"

What I'd really like to do is just go back to bed, but that would be a bad thing so I'll stay up.

Connie, I hope you find something wonderful today!

Joe, were you the "briefer" this morning? Are you taking over?

Re: Sunday's Rejoicing Diner - 01/27/13 06:26 PM

Good morning boomies. I finished up the work I wanted to so far and now I am heading out the door to run the dogs in the woods before the ice comes. It'll warm up later so it'll melt quickly and turn to rain.

Venus, I hope the vet went okay.

Gail, I have a feeling you are under the weather again. Hugs to you...

be back.

Re: Sunday's Rejoicing Diner - 01/27/13 06:46 PM

Arrragghhh! It's turned cold again. Had our warm, then cold, the it rained and rained and now it's going cold rain. Not nice outside but gotta go walk anyway.

Sidewalk project is a mess. Nothing but blocked sidewalk (what's done) and mud all over the place, and if you try to walk down the sidewalk, the homeowners (who have no clue) are parking their cars hanging out across the sidewalk so it's either turn around, or try to cross the great mud divide. Stupid and messy. Dunno why the parking enforcement isn't doing something about clearing the way for pedestrians. We rarely see them around here and yet it would be a gold mine of tickets for the city coffers.

11:45 pm last night, watching some recorded BBC programs (season end for Cracker series and Boom! Accident at the corner (3 houses down from mine). I know the sound well. Crunch, thud, glass breaking, horn stuck in on position, and then, squealing brakes as one of the cars manages to 'escape'. Luckily, no injuries to the other drivers, horn finally got disconnected, someone got the license plate of the hit and run car, and we all went back to our scheduled routine. What's really amazing, is that the new family across the street, who goes to bed early and leaves for work at 4:30 am every morning, HEARD the collision while sleeping. Wow. Good ears and good reaction. She's a nurse, we all walked down to see if anyone needed help, but happily no one did. Nice new family there to react instead of just ignoring it like most people.

Sister. Ohhhh dear. Down from Washington state for the winter months, staying with her daughter again about 60 miles from me. Happy as a clam with her new routine. This is her second year doing it. Now I find out that not only is she buying a house down there, BUT it's not for her. She's staying in WA. Story is that daughter is losing her house to foreclosure, my sister is buying one and intends to deed it over to daughter after they short sell the current one! Interesting mess. Also found out that daughter now has her two grown sons living with her. Both have 'problems' with police and drugs, etc. And she's baby sitting some huge dogs for a friend, and in all of this fun, and losing the house, sister keeps reporting how often they all go to the casino and go to play poker with friends, etc. This is a disaster in progress. Would appreciate some prayers that it all doesn't turn out horribly. I'm getting bad feelings.

Sorta, I hope your sister doesn't end up losing her investment.

Took the dogs for a run and it wasn't sleeting too bad till we got home. Now everything is ice out there.

Darlene, I hope all is well by you.

Off to the corner...

Re: Sunday's Rejoicing Diner - 01/27/13 11:13 PM

Thanks Ana, I'm just so worried she isn't thinking straight and wanting to get the 'love' from her estranged daughter (only reconciled 2 years now) after a 20 plus year no contact. It's not a good situation even if it is her flesh and blood. I'm going to carefully try to convince her to NOT turn ownership over to the kids. I fear they will just gamble the monies away again. Oh what a mess! Have to be cunning and savvy in my 'argument'. Wish it wasn't a full moon.

Taken from a FB quote:

That moment when you finish a book, look around and realize everyone else if just carrying on with their lives...as though you didn't experience emotion trauma at the hands of a paperback.

Hello everybody. wave

I have been fighting the modem for the last hour. It didn't want to let me get on line. smirk

I have shoveled and sifted so much today I am cramping in my hands, my back, my feet, my legs. shocked

The only point we found was a half of a jet black Adena point and that was by my friends young son Gabe. It was his first point. bravo

I found a couple of pieces that were worked. One looked like it could be a drill/scraper/knife, but it was missing the lower part.

It got very windy up there and that's why I've been having modem problems. rolleyes

I have to be at work at 5:00 so I've gotta post tomorrow's and get ready for bed. sleep

Have a good evening everyone. happydance

Nan, glad you made it home safe. My driveway is on a slant and we are trying to deice before Peter gets home from work or his car will be in the street. It's happened to my truck multiple times. rotfl

I have cranked up my Itunes music and put on my headphones on high to drown out my whining dog. Every night he starts the same thing I can't take it anymore. I wish I could lay on the floor with him all the time but I have lost two hours at least already this evening laying with him. He fell out of the truck twice today and I hurt him picking him up and I don't think his pain meds are working. sad Old age stinks....

Your weather is turning nasty. L4L I hope your back is feeling better in the morning. I have an early shift in the morning. Night all.
